Topic: Which topic for a future AGE-engine game?

The Thirty Years' War is easily the conflict I'd most like seeing an AGE game about. It is definitely my favourite historical conflict, and there has not been, to my knowledge, a single computer wargame that has ever depicted it at any scale. Furthermore, it presents excellent opportunities for havi...

I'm greatly looking forward to NCP2. So long as the same amount of detail and realism that the rest of AGEOD's games have, I don't see why the engine should matter so much. The only logical point of contention I can see is that it will be real time, which I personally prefer (Particularly given that...

I think the map extends too much to the east and not enough to the west to model the Eastern Front, it would have to be extended for it to work. A 1915-1917/8 campaign that starts after Gorlice–Tarnów and the retreat could theoretically work, since the map has most of the places that saw fighting in...

Just noticed this as well. Is it an error or does GG actually release it 2 days later?

EDIT: Well, guess I'd buy it from AGEOD anyway.

Yes, but you won't be able to install anything with your downloaded setup file, as there should no longer be GG server too to sign the game. (The signature is the 'something to be DL' I thought about. I edited my message above). http://www.gamersgate.com/info/faq "connection is needed to sign in an...

Yes, everybody says Gamersgate has few drm on his games. But when Gamergate says "DRM free", it's a lie, as Gg is already a DRM (you have to re-DL something to reinstall), like Steam is. Actually, you can copy the setup file and store it anywhere without having to download it again. You just have t...

BTW, there seems to be a bug in the options screen. If you click on Naval Box Handling, it does nothing, and if you click on Historical Attrition, it moves the Naval Box Handling option instead.

How would you explain Hungary in 1919, then? Hungary was fairly developed and used to be the seat of one of the most powerful monarchies in history, yet it became a Soviet Republic, which, unlike the others in Germany, only fell when the Romanian army marched into Budapest. The main difference was t...

But the Revolution(s) in Germany were put down before the Russian Civil War. And I don't think the Russian revolution per-se (February or October) was a large enough scare to affect the German Revolution. By the start of the RCW Luxemburg, Liebknecht and many Spartakists were long dead... Put down ...

But why in other parts of Europa there was no communist practices? I wonder why in Russia? There was, in fact, sort of. After WWI Soviet Republics cropped up all over Europe, in places such as Alsace, Bavaria, Hungary and Slovakia. All of these were eventually put down by anti-communists or by fore...

Im not so sure about this "obscure" period in history only known by wargamers or eastern europeans. Well I guess the problem here is that we are talking about a subset of humans, the wargaming community, it is quite small as it is ;) . Also, if you ask someone with east-european ancestry you might get a different answer. The tragic effects are still visible today allover Eastern Europe. Here I am...

But the knowledge of the inner workings of those civil wars are about equal I'd say, nobody or at least very few except historians/wargamers care about those. Those Americans I talked about weren't some morons but well educated people. Few actually care about such wars(especially when there are mor...

Though the fact that there was a Russian Revolution and a subsequent Civil War is common knowledge, the details of what followed the revolution, the events of the Civil War itself, are very seldomly known except probably in the areas directly effected by them. The course of the American Civil War is...
