Is that merchant fleet Replacements, or actual merchant fleet units? The latter would provide an actual reason to keep them running in the early game as France/Russia/USA.

No. The 30 loyalties are the sum of all Loyalty losses in provinces belonging to the same aera than the aera capital region, like Tla, Tver, Smolensk, etc. Now indeed it's certainly too weak for balancing reasons... more detailed analysis of Regional Policies effects on Laoyaly here: http://www.age...

Another problem i've just noticed, Requistions/Conscription/Reforms seem to not be affecting loyalties in their provinces at all. Requisition, for instance, IS supposed to take 30 loyalty away from you in every region in the state and add it to the Greens, right? It seems to do nothing of the kind i...

Questions: 1) Kurganinsk appears to be a Southern White objective region despite the complete lack of a town or anything interesting except a railway. Perhaps that was meant to be Maikop or Grozny or one of the other towns east of Ekatinodar? 2) Are there actually any AutoRaised militias and such fo...

A few impressions

Yello, just went and bought this game, and it's been quite interesting so far, especially this campaign i've started as the Southern Whites. I have noticed however a few isssues that have notably raised their heads so far: 1) Conscript and/or Engagement Point income seem to be rather low for the S. ...

Conscript income too low?

As some may recall, back around 1.02 every unit avaliable in the game got massive hikes to their recruitment costs, particularly when it came to conscripts. I have read elsewhere around the forums that this was done because all the hits and such were calculated for individual elements based on them ...

Problem with Excessive Losses?

It seems to me, in the Gold edition, that there seems to be some sort of bug when a unit is taking morale checks. Whenever i see an Out of Combat result pop up, there is always a Destroyed result to go along with it. Even when i look in the battle log, i see an "unit is Eliminated" message immediate...

Is there some particular reason that the cost for all units in war supplies seem to have taken a five or ten-fold increase? I can't help but think that Austria should at least be getting enough WSs a turn to at least raise a single Hussar regiment, but is lucky if it can even afford more than one ba...

I might also note that i get these "experiencing a problem" messages whenever the Germans go to siege Antwerp in the August pre-turn. I see the message "Siege is delayed" at the top, click the Go to Next Battle button, and kaboom, crash.

Edit: This is in 1.05b, mind.

it's the event evt_nam_Levies_SPA_01June1808_3, and it's probably chokes on the fact that uni_SPA_Bde1LE is not present in the alias file, thus spewing out clones of generals, as that's what unit type the thing was set to create beforehand.

Strange Bug in the Spanish Campaign

I see King Joseph and his extremely worn out small-size Army de Espagne against a relatively fit Spanish army(with the British Gibraltar contigent) in Madrid for at least 2 turns in a roll, and for some reason the battle results screen for the fights going on there just aren't showing up. I can see ...

These problems are because the units in question are set to have the same names as various state militia units. The Americans have continental regiments from various states who are set to bear names such as 1st Massachuests, Virginia, Rhode Island, etc. The game does not want to give identical names...

my main problem with this theoretical change in division limits is that most divsions in the Civil war tended to have a fairly large number of regiments, even on the Union side. Looking through the OOB for I Corps at Gettysburg, i count 11 infantry regiments in Wadsworth's division, 11 more in Robin...

The problem is not that piddly little garrison unit in Kingston-on-lake (lvl 1 towns don't give replacements, anyway), but those 3 Brit regular units in Fts. Niagra, Vincennes, and St.jean( or whatever that one south of Montreal is).

Problems with CDA militia

I have recently noticed a large problem when making selective edits to scenario files. Specifically, that the British have about 9 units that are speced to be raised in Canada that never appear in the game. There are 2 militia units for each of Quebec, Montreal, and Halfax, as well as 2 Tory regimen...

I think the autoraise settings are per side, as all the Canadian autoraise things are shoved into the same lines as other Tories and the Royal Americans under ENG, and the events file specifies faction ENG for the autoraise activation. I think the problem problably lies with those $Area_Quebec and $...

My concern is that there seems to be a bug somewhere in that the British do not seem to recieve any militia reinforcements in Canada. 1)Loyalty has a heavy influence on the time it takes any unit to form up. This is particulary evident in MO for both sides, depending on what events have fired. 2) The auto-volunteer militia and those raised in reaction to raids both are a model with a movement vaule of 0, meaning that they are stuc...

reading what i think is the conversion event seems to say that the game picks all militia units on the board and applies a 10% chance of conversion to them. Rather nice for getting some use out of those state militias that rally to the colours.

Attributes like Entreachments work on the Stack level, if i recall, meaning that either Longstreet would have to be the stack commander or (depending on just what category the Entreacher ability is in) he may just have to be in the stack to grant the ability to the entire stack (ala Artillerist)
