Mais à partir de lundi. :)

I'd agree on brigades being the highest formation because divisions were used only later Actually, the division system was first used in the seven years' war already. I had a problem too the first time I tried to start BoA on my new Vista computer. I had a very brief message, something like
"[97] debugger detected", and the game did not started. But I installed the last update 1.12a and it then worked like a charm...

Hope it helps

IIRC, it was partly due to the fact that everyone assumed Atlanta would be the CSA capitol, partly personal animosity towards Cobb. I may be wrong. Somebody please correct me if I am. According to McKitrick ("The American Party Systems", in "Party politics and the Union and Confederate war efforts"...

Toombs instead of Davis, interesting 'what if?'

In the game, Robert Toombs is an obscure Brigadier General. But he could have had an important political carreer, he was a serious contender for the CSA Presidency. Before the war, he was a pro-slavery senator and he supported Breckinridge in the presidential campaign of 1860. He returned to Georgia...

Missing generals

Thanks to TC237 and RICKD79 we now have a big file with not less than 52 US and 53 CSA generals, both in English and French (mostly highest ranking officers). Some biographies are missing however (the list is based on the PDF game file, 'Leaders Appearance List'). Who could help us ? For the USA : S...

One of the reasons I became ACW freak are these bios. If 15 years ago I bought the game and it told me that some guy was a farmer I wouldn't care. 15 years ago you probably had no access to internet and almost unlimited information resources, including biographies. Try to search google for "robert ...

Who'll begin the CSA 1-stars generals ?

OK, I'll do the "quality control" and the translations. Remember, we need "basic pre-war stuff to give the player a little insight into what that officer was doing before 1861", including state and date of birth (year only), military experience, most important feats (in very short), situation in 186...
