Re: Please check mix of towns and counties .

I would second that. That does sound strange!

I suspect that there are a few things that need checking by a native!!

For example, looking at the map of Kent in one of the screen shots Canterbury looks like it's on the North Kent coast! Which it isn't!!

Camel Brigades

Can only seem to create them in the England/Wales. Is this Working as designed or is it a bug? If it is meant to be this way I assume they get the camels from London Zoo?

Otherwise like the game lots, though it has been a lot of palaver getting your games running on my Linux system...

I'm running Linux Mint which is based on Ubuntu. I've tried using Wine and Virtualbox. Most of the games fall over in a heap using VB, and with Wine the latest games are missing the units... Ho hum.

Any chance of a Linux Version of the games?

Well, in some ways it's probably good that I can't get the larger games working on my Linux system, as I have more time for other things... But sometimes it would be nice to be able to fire up a few of the games...

I also took the risk and purchased Espana 1936, and it falls over into great big heaps with both Wine and Virtualbox! VB doesn't get beyond loading 86% textures, and Wine just falls over, get an error message and then it just loops. Ho hum. Will really have to look at Vmware I think... However. comp...

Oh well. completely different hardware to mine, but I'm not sure how that helps! ROP almost works with WINE, but won't process a turn. I get an error message that says it can't access due to the OS locking the files...? And WIA falls over in a complete heap before even getting to the Game menu. I ca...

A little more slow to run the turn/AI than with MS/Windows, but it's still OK. Maybe it's your hardware ? Yeah, well, I'm running Linux Mint 14 too, perhaps it i...

Yes, it would be nice. I've been playing as the Russians and have reached 1856 and the war doesn't even look likely at the moment... Thanks, I have been using 1.02 since I was able to.

I fired PON up in a window last evening and it hasn't crashed since, so I dunno what's going on (though last thing last night I also followed your suggestion and put the PON directory into my AV exceptions file).

Interesting!

I realise it's probably a bit too niche, but I would really like to see a game of The English Civil War! And you could use the same maps for the War of the Roses too, though whether the AGEOD system would work that far back I would be interested to find out.

I like PON a lot, but I seem to be getting the attached error(s) more and more frequently as the game goes on (playing as the Russians and am just about up to 1854), and it is beginning to become unplayable. It hasn't been happening every turn, but it has happened 2 of the last 3 now. Is it some sor...
