Re: Looking Opponents PON (PBEM)

Ok I made a TWC account, with the name coolbean. I think I found the thread with your game, I can post there.

Re: Looking Opponents PON (PBEM)

I don't have a problem taking a free country and waiting for Netherlands (or other country) to open up. That's definitely interesting that Japan got occupied, but I think they are definitely a major power and should be played. If their situation is not hopeless, I would like to give them a try. Or I...

Re: Looking Opponents PON (PBEM)

If the Netherlands will be freeing up, I will happily play them. In any other case, I can play whatever you guys think is the most important of the remainder (maybe Mexico or Two Sicilies?). Yes I played a couple of MP games a long time ago, it was a lot of fun, but as you can imagine life commitmen...

Re: Looking Opponents PON (PBEM)

Are you guys still looking for new joiners? I would prefer a major country of course, but I would be willing to play a secondary country.

Yes I think most nations are focused on scrambling/building in the colonies. Last game once most of the colonies were picked up, minus a few in Africa, people got itchy fingers and the fun started.

Damn, I missed the last two turns. Sorry guys. I was off of work this week to wrap up personal items and prepare for my wedding. I was completely out of my rhythm. I took the week off because I have to report to Seattle for training for the month of April. I should have internet access to submit tur...

And finally this will re-create the trade post in Qatar for GBR! I just tested it and it is ready to be added in. SelectFaction = $CMN StartEvent = Return Qatar Tradepost to GBR|1|1|Null|Null|Null|Null //Single execution Actions //Transfer of Qatar structures SelectFaction = $USA SelectRegion = $Qat...

Thank you Lukas! It looks like everything switched over normally. The only issue is the trade post should have remained in GB's hands, but I guess the change owner line moves everything over, not just the province control. That's ok, I can write a stand alone script that would destroy the US trade p...

Got it! I just tested it. Now the only problem is that in order to test it I had to go to the previous turn, because it is set to only run once. So, I'm not sure what to change to make it run one more time, or if it is a matter of slightly changing the title of the script, or if you paste it in it w...

ah ha! I believe it did not transfer the CP or protectorate control to USA because the colony itself is called "Qatar and Bahrain," while only the province itself is called "Qatar." I'll fix the script and re-post it. Thanks for the help Lukas. I don't think I can post it tonight but should have tim...

A squadron sailing under the command of Admiral Napier engaged and destroyed several pirate ships in the Strait of Malacca. The U.S. Colonial Administration in Aden suspects that these...

Not a problem at all... and thank you kindly. Like I said, I am just really illiterate when it comes to writing these scripts so I pretty much start by copy and pasting an old one. I really appreciate it

As for the OE lacking a player: I agree direct conflict with the OE is unfair now that a player lacks, but don't think we should be forced to wait with Wallachia and Moldavia. The OE would possibly gain a cb on Russia and Austria but a human player wouldn't have any realistic possibility of using i...

Spain and Ottoman Empire should in particular be interesting nations to play, it's a shame if they're not being played currently. I think Spain in particular has access to some fairly good resources in their colonies. I'm not sure if Sweden would be exciting enough to keep someone's interest though.

All, I would like to submit the following event to be reviewed by you guys then included in a turn. A while back, a random game-generated crisis cropped up that transferred Qatar from USA to GB, when USA was declaring a protectorate. The USA and GB had an out of game agreement about the region, and ...

No problem here. You've had a couple weird issues right? Strange unit names as well iirc. Is that still an issue? Wonder if it's worth nuking your setup and re-installing everything? I bought a new computer and installed PoN the correct way this time around, so the unit names are fixed. Although, I...

Sometimes I find straight out military occupation of the colonial capital allows me to play the 'declare Protectorate' card if all requirements have been met. I checked again this turn, and my average CP is over 26 now, so all requirements should be met. My only concern with trying to establish mil...

Another technical question - how does mnapower work - I have Frenhc, Dutch and German culture in my provinces (no Belgian) - from which do I gain manpower? Do I gain manpower also from colonies? I wish i could remember... I think it means that the parameters are not actually within the correct limits, even if they seem to be, but I could be wrong on that... It may be that the average CP is not high enough. Part of the requirements of the card is that the average CP be over 25, and the aver...

Random question, but I feel like this was asked the last time we played...

What does it mean when it says "The structure that would be triggered by it would not be valid in this region" when trying to play a protectorate card? All parameters are within the limits of the decision.

In this most recent turn I was unable to submit my file and the AI successfully moved every single US land and naval unit that wasn't locked. The AI also tried to disband half of the US merchant fleet, which would have been bad. I thought I would be able to simply save some money for the next turn b...
