Taylor and Early are both in the game!
Why do you say they ar not in?? maybe you are looking at an outdated/incomplete generals list??
Not sure about Walker...

I know they're in the game. I was saying that they weren't in the list of Army Generals.

Just wondering why Richard Taylor and Jubal Early aren't in the list of Army Generals for the game. Taylor commanded the Army of Western Louisiana from its formation in 1862 to his fall out with Edmund Kirby Smith in June 1864 after which he was transfered to Alabama and became commander of the Army...

How best to use Mosby and Quantrill

I've not quite gotten the hang of these irregular units for the Confederacy and more than once I've had both Mosby and Quantrill's commands wiped out and even lost Mosby and Quantrill themselves occaisonally so I want to ask what is the best way to use these two and get the best out of them?

posted in another similar thread and copied here to save retyping it over and over again: Tossing up new leader names for inclusion into the game without doing the necessary accompanying work is not going to cut if for me for the next patch cycle. There are already too many existing discrepancies t...

Rating as a "dispirited" leader? He was not trusted by the slave owners!! t Still not really fair to him is it? The definition of DISPIRITED LEADER as according to this site is " This commander is absolutely not charismatic for his men, or is defeatist. -5 maximum cohesion to the stack if commander...

I'd think Bowen's rating would be 4 2 3. He showed a keen understanding of the stategic situation in the Vicksburg Campaign when, after blocking Grant's crossing of the Mississippi at Grand Gulf, he moved South to Port Gibson to block Grant's crossing further South. The only reason he didn't go to b...

Perhaps its the general trend of skipping over the Vicksburg Campaign that leads to Bowen getting ignored. Most doccumentaries I've seen, for example, tend to only mention the Vickburg Campaign right at the end of it when Pemberton surrendered and pay no attention to the battles or campaigning leadi...

John S. Bowen

Is John S. Bowen in the game?

I have yet to see him appear for the Confederates and I've gotten up to the fourth year, also he isn't in the scenario starting around the time of the Vicksburg Campaign where he was a major player - his brigade is but he isn't

Again I'm dragging up old threads and I appoligize for it but I would like to point out that John C. Pemberton was a very good administrator and did create a very solid base of operations and military force in both South Carolina and Mississippi. He wasn't cut out to be a field commander but would h...

I know I'm dragging up an old thread here but I'd like to say somethings on Joe Johnston. Unlikely to change anything in the game I suppose but he is my favorite at the moment and I came here a little late to get involved in the prior discussions. Joe Johnston was a very good army builder and traine...
