All I can say is relax and take your time learning the wonderful depth of this game. The learning curve is steeper than many games but I feel along with so many others that the result is worth the effort and then some.

The journey is a big part of the fun in this game.

I didn't change the ratings as a protest, I changed them because comparable to how others are rated, in my humble opinion, his ratings should be better, definitely better than Burnside and Pope. I don't think the Second Bull Run was decided on McClellan sending in more troops from Washington. Pope ...

Of course you gave him those stats as a protest, right?? Right? I would like to know why you feel Little Mac refused to send Franklin to assist Pope at 2nd Bull Run? He was ordered to several times by Halleck. I figured out how to mod the generals, just like editing a depot or fort. I've edited McCl...

Any further news Rafiki? I'm a new player - bought the game a couple of weeks ago. I'm very impressed with it, and the company - they seem to be very good at customer support and insist on supplying us all with "niche" wargames that we love!. I'll certainly look at their other titles after my exper...

Hi! The scale in both games is different, so it is hard to compare them directly. If you think you see such a problem, you should send a saved game showing how the problem arises and how to replicate it to AGEOD for correction. Sooner or later, if a new patch is made, you will see the problem fixed...

Thanks Rafiki.

I have come to realize just how much I miss the Wiki now that it's been MIA.

I disagree, although I understand and I'm aware of this argument. Grant, Sherman, Sheridan, and others understood what to do, I agree. Lincoln and the radical Republicans, however, wanted to attack hard and fast early on, not so much because it would be an effective military strategy but because th...

Thanks for the reply, Franciscus. If what you say is the case it's sad that something that *seems* so egregious has not been addressed yet the game is still at full price and I just laid down the $ for itless than a week ago. :( It would be nice of someone with some knowledge/authority of the NCP ga...

NCP after AACW and a question

Hi All: I very happily started out with AACW and have been spending lots of time learning at the very capable hands of Athena. I subsequesntly purchased NCP as I had always loved the period and spend some significant time studying it. (I went so far as to marry a French women...I digress). My questi...

Thanks for your insightful contribution to the discussion. Someone has already posted this but I'll repost for people like our friend Rondor here. PBEM is the onyl decent way to get a challenging game. I don't want to have to ensure every new opponent I have has the same mod as me. I jus...

Note that the judicious use of units formed outside the command chain can be very useful. Units outside the command chain are capable of being activated when you need them to be. This is not always the case with units in the chain.

Kentucky-Neutral add-on install

I am not great with all this so it's best to ask. I would like to install this add-on/mod from zip. My question is do I simply extract the contents of each folder to it's matching folder on my hard drive? Sorry if I am asking a really rudimentary question but not comfy with my own level of knowledge...
