Sounds like it's already fixed but they're just waiting to do a comprehensive patch I guess. It's nice getting back into RUS and this is the only major bug I've run into so far.

The above info is good. Seniority is just to determine what kind of penalty you'll face for promoting a lower seniority general over a higher seniority general.

Couple of things I've noticed. The railroad between Charlottesville and Staunton VA doesn't work. It shows it barely going through Augusta, which just has a road. This causes a lot of problems with trying to get into Staunton/Lexington. Also, Ashland Ohio is actually Ashland Ky. Ironton is the name ...

Do you really mean your first boardgame? I stopped playing boardgames when I started needing a magnifier to read the counters in Advanced Squad Leader . And yes, 180$ is a bit steep, but it's even more of a niche market than computer wargames. You don't get too old to play games, but you wil...

I left aggression on default settings. Making Athena more aggressive hasn't helped her in the past, either. It's interesting that you observe the same effect for a high detection bonus, though. I gave her the maximum possible since I would have thought it would actually help her judge the situation...

It is a rather impressive document. I didn't see much I disagreed with. I've actually contemplated picking up my first boardgame to play with some buddies, but 180$ is too steep for me. I haven't even bought AACW2 yet! I'll be changing that here in a month or so now that work is finally letting up.

Great pictures of these generals. I like the un-stylized pics of generals like Ghai-Kan (mustache or no mustache?), Yakir (the pic being replaced was a post RCW pic), and Zinoviev (I'm not sure about that recent pic of him). No need for propaganda pics when you don't know who is going to win

I would have been on a Pittsburgh to New Orleans river boat to start with. Running whiskey and gambling all my money on the way down and improvising my way back to to the north depending on how successful I was. With the rivers closed, and no strong loyalties, I would set up business in the remote A...

I agree with pretty much all of this as a summary of what happened. I would only add this: The South ultimately lost for many reasons, of course, but two of the most important were two of the major reasons they went to war. First, slavery was morally insupportable, which tended to weaken the southe...

It takes many what-ifs, but sure they could've won. War fatigue in 1864 had victory within view anyway. Imagine a few more victories, or less Vicksburgs. The strategic situation could've given them the depth/time needed for a diplomatic victory.

I don't feel qualified to jump in but what if slavery were outlawed in the constitution? Would there have been a civil war, and what would it have been about? 1860 wasn't the first secession crisis. It seems to me that something else would have had to force the issue of federal vs state dominance.

Haha, I had the same problem. I'm fairly competent in geography in general, but the mass that is Russia is a tough bird to tackle. The Siberian Whites need to try to concentrate along the Volga. Kazan, Ufa, and Samara are probably priority number 1 after you clean up the rear area insurrectionaries....

I have a request. Can you add about 5-10 generals to the Reds in the Drang scenario. There aren't enough generals for all the units to start with. Within a year, I've already lost 8 generals (4 in 0 death battles) and there isn't any way to get new generals in that scenario. You could add in some of...

I love hearing that there's further development to fix stuff like the abilities. Keep this as the best RCW game, and there's at least a small stream of people who will be looking at it.
