Doesn't Lee have a 4-star version with seniority 2? Yes, he does according to the database files, but I've never been able to promote Lee, Grant or Sherman to 4 stars (even when they are seniority 1 at 3 stars). I can make a quick edit for that, but I'm curious if you've been able to promote him to...

Updated Generals Lists 1.15 Legacy Patch

Ok, here are the generals lists updated to the 1.15 release. As with the previous versions: 1. If the general is automatically promoted, the date will appear above the corresponding rank. If there is no date, his promotion is contingent upon performance. 2. As I don't know how to read the program fi...

Patch Reversals

I'm not sure if I should be posting this in this thread or if it belongs somewhere else, but as I'm updating the general lists, I'm noticing that a few of the changes made from 1.13 on have been reversed in the 1.15 legacy patch. I've completed the CSA list and am working on the USA. A few reversals...

Generals on Legacy 1.15 Patch

Ok, I just did a new install of 1.15 (in the event I had previously downloaded the beta that Gray referred to above), and Bushrod Johnson & Charles Winder are wrong on my lists. They do show up in Jan 61, so I'll go and verify the lists and make the appropriate corrections. I'm not sure what the las...

+1 :) I am only to turn 14 in the grand campaign and I have Bushrod Johnson and have had him since the 61' generals pool IIRC. If you are correct and he enters in the 62' pool, then please let me know as maybe I have a corrupt game file or something that I need to address. [edit] Same goes for C.S....

There are some on both sides. I did some updated listing before the final legacy patch (but I don't think anything changed in regards to the generals in the legacy patch) you can see them here:

I also agree. I still play AACW regularly, and have enjoyed the support provided by Ageod and the community to enhance the game, but it's time to lock down the .exe. I also voted for continued support, but would now change my vote after gaining a better understanding of what is still moddable after ...

With the new patches (I forget which one), it is possible to kill a 3 star, though the chances are slim.

While Arsan is correct, you can raise armies that large, I don't think you are able to do it by Feb 1862 even using full mobilization and the highest bounty for volunteers. There has been a lot of discussion in the forum about getting the OOB's more in line with what they were historically. I know G...

I don't know the dates off hand. If you can see the unit in your force pool, you select it to build, it'll take a few turns (I forget how many, but if you hover over the unit once it appears to be built, it'll tell you the estimated days to completion). Once it's built, you can move it to the locati...

Forming additional Armies

Well depending on where you are at in the game (what date) you may not be able to yet. To form an Army you will need to purchase an Army HQ unit from your force pull under the Support tab. Once the HQ is built you can then pair that with a 3 star general to form an Army. The additional Army HQ units...

Hate to criticize an otherwise fine piece of work, but the entry for John C. Breckinridge isn't quite right. At 2 stars his stats are 4/3/2, not 3/2/2, and hes now generically promotable to 3 stars. Still an incredibly useful list though. Thanks Degataga - You are correct. I confirmed in the databa...

Updated Union List

The Union list at the top now accounts for the changed arrival and activation of the NVA Army. There were no changes to the CSA list. If anyone else notices anything out of whack, just let me know.

This helps a lot. Does strategic rating of a general change sometimes by gameplay, or only by promotion? If Longstreet never possibly raises his rating above 3 after being promoted to 3 star general it would be wise to never promote him at all. Same with Jackson and his anger trait. I saw def and o...

Does this work across rivers? For example if I a corp at Henry TN and another at Stewart TN (FT Donelson) would they support one another? I believe so. Just for your information, the normal garrison units do not use any command points in AACW1. Specifically, the Garrison unit, with however many elements it might have, it varies, nor the Coastal Artillery, nor the Fort Battery. None of those 3 units have a command cost associated with them. Also, g...

I was thinking abut the division cap the other day and this kind of popped in my head as a potential idea for AACW II. I'm of the opinion that it is kind of strange to have an event where because one general is killed, others don't become division generals. The pool of generals shouldn't be affected by one guy's death in my opinion. So the more random or less likely to happen, if at all, the better. I tend to disag...

It also looks like you fortified Richmond. So not only were they making an amphibious landing, they were doing so into a level 2 fort with less than a 2:1 force.
