Re: How do you organise things in AGEOD games?

Thanks for the suggestions already; another issue I have-
Currently in civil war 2 i have groups in washington forming each 8 command points and now I have basically 6 or 7 groups. I have to move these groups 1 at a time correct? I cant simply grab them all at once and move them to another province?

Re: How do you organise things in AGEOD games?

Additionally; the fact that im having to skip through units all over the map and am not simply looking at the map in a general sense means it is very easy to lose perspective on the grand scheme of things and whats going on, making grand plans and so on.

How do you organise things in AGEOD games?

Ok so ive been playing ageod games for a long time at this point. I recently have been getting back into it playing civil war 2. My question is, how the hell do you organise stuff? For example, each turn I have a whole bunch of small units around the map, I usually have to cycle thru all the units u...

Did you run the game as an administrator? For Windows 7 this is the most common fix. Either right click or select options. Select run as admin. This may not solve your issue, but it is usually successful. Yeah tried that, to be fair my laptop is dying of graphics card death. It's been overheating a...

AACW.exe has stopped working error

I get this error about 3/5 times starting the game. Sometimes it will work, sometimes it won't. I dont know why it does this. I think it stopped briefly when I reinstalled the two patches. I will reinstall the game to see if this helps. I have the boxed version of the game patched to 1.10 then 1.15....

Before i looked into the history of the civil war properly, i had always been under the assumption that the confederates were doomed to loose. But the simple fact of the Manassas campaign and how very very close the Confederates got to Washington in the early days of the war, proves that they did ha...

While the interface of WIA, civil war etc i find not good performance wise, this is practicly my only gripe (and truthfully on my laptop the performance issue is very very minor). My favorite is without doubt the ACW one, but WIA is also very very good in my opinion, no other game simulates the type...

Supply queries

I know theres a sticky supply thread, but im stupid anyway so... If ammo says there is 170 and use 60 per battle, what EXACTLY does that mean (the stack is carrying 170 ammo? how do you know how much this increase/decrease by?) If supplys are 170 stockpile and use 60, same as above.... I need to kno...

I dont know of any, but i find the ai focuses on certain places (for example european shipping) and i counter them with my own (as britain). However generally you have to protect merchant shipping ass britain, and raid it as americans. Hope this helps slightly :mdr: i can probably help more if you h...

I removed both of those, and it does seem better (loading during game use RAM more probably) i think preloading it all was eating up processor power :mdr: even with the slight performance issue, as usual THUMBS UP

I have found something that removes the performance issues entirely for me, remove all the texture pre loading. Now scrolling etc works smooth and theres no lag whatsoever.
