Here I am back.

I've figured out how to play this game, I can build divisions, corps, and armies. It's a great game, I love it, but I still have a lot to learn about how best to play.

In previous post, replace words "land in the same place" w. "go where I want them to."

The Amphibious Landing Problem

It turns out to have been some sort of manual dexterity difficulty. I found one unit in Drummond, New Jersey and the others in Fortress Monroe itself. I encountered the same difficulty when trying to take Forts Henry and Donelson from the south. The units landed somewhere where I didn't want them. T...

Well, here I am again.

I had some trouble the last time I tried it, but prior to that I had caught onto creating divisions well enough to have gone blithely all over the board building about 20 of them. Now I am working on learning how to do armies and corps and have had a little success doing that. I am sure I shall catc...

Thanks, gentlemen.

I realize some of you could be ladies, but in my gaming experience, that is pretty rare. I have your suggestions for learning and shall be carrying out at least some of them, probably most. I've gone about starting to learn this game in a way I usually would not. After very little work with tutorial...

A typo slipped by me.

Obviously, in my last posting, "inherit" should be "inherent." "I am the grammarian about whom your mother warned you."

Some Really Basic Questions

1. Having just gotten this game, I'm not even to the point of worrying yet about corps and armies. I would just like to be able to assign a leader to a unit and have him remain with it and be its leader. It seems the practice here is drag and drop, either the unit or leader on the map or one of the ...

Okay, here's question one.

There will be others. In games I have played in the past, somewhere in the instructions there is the following explanation: "Here are the phases of this game and the order in which they occur. Here is what happens in each phase." I don't find that for this one. It seems like there are essentially th...

Okay, Here's the situation.

I am not certain this is the best place for this, but the phrase "totally new players" caught my eye. Maybe, as I spend more time on this site, I'll find better places to post my questions. I am 63 years old and do not understand computers very well. I do have wargaming experience, but most of it wa...
