As an added note, "Forced March" should be used sparingly if at all. The only time I use this order is when I want my cavalry scouts behind enemy lines to skedaddle back to friendly territory ASAP in the face of impending danger. Due to the loss of cohesion, I never issue this order to troops if th...

Looking for a threesome!

No really. Looking for two other American Civil War players so we can rotate playing and have a third party host. Campaign only. Can play 1 or more turns per day usually and can host more than that if needed.

yes and yes.

signal and medical units only apply to the stack they are in, so if you have money to burn put them in every important stack.

Ok another subtle question on a two star forming a corps. Do you have to be within range of an army to form a corps? Yes. Range varies by the ability of the three star in charge of the army. If the two star has a divisional command and has troops within his unit is he not eligable to form a corps? ...

It depends... :) no really What force is doing the siege? Is it a Corps? then leave them as a part of the stack, ie corps artillery. Is it a smaller independent stack? Then if I needed to conserve command points to keep from getting penalties, I would put them in a division formation. To be honest t...

Hey Grey, I noticed when playing the tourney 1863 2 theater campaign in version 1.13b that the Union actually starts the scenario with more than 60 divisions (at least it says I have more that 60 and can't form any more even after getting rid of a few). Has this been changed in 1.15?

Yes.. you will see battles in the events occasionally and if a raider takes enough damage it will be sunk.

I enjoy the higher resolution too, my only issue seems to be opening the ledger which gets cut off top and bottom and when looking at unit detail the top gets cut off.

Yes it is true, the guns are support elements so are generally protected from enemy fire until there is no more 'line' elements. So when there is a retreat, most of the guns survive... I know it can be weird but that would be difficult to reverse the logic of targeting just for retreat BUT :) guns ...

No. The tooltip should say "the force under his command". Since he is not in command of the entire force, he retreats with the stack. It would be interesting, perhaps in ACW2, to have reckless or hotheaded generals function as rearguards and such, but they do not in this game. I wouldn't be too sur...

I would have to double check the NM, but I have seen the other side lose everything, with me capturing units and the battle report says I lost. Then in the events my "losing" generals are congradulated for their victory.

Yeah, do not cross rivers or do amphibious landings without at least 3 to 1 odds and marines are helpful as well.

Did you capture a artillery unit from the battle?

If so, I have seen it say the winning side has lost before when capturing units, but every other result points to the victory, ie your leader will get credit for a victory and you will get the VP and NM from the victory as well.

Yes actually, post 1863 things get quite annoying with hundreds of tiny bde's. Only half th...

I'll try to answer you questions. 1) The lower Colorado or Matagorad bay must have gotten shallow enough between turns to trap your transport. Sometime in the next year I bet the weather will change the conditions of the river or bay to allow them to move again, if not, then someone should look at i...
