Industrialization in 1862

Hello everyone. I began a full campaign about 2 weeks ago and have made it to February, 1862. I used one industrialization option in 1861, Arsenals and something in Georgia. Took a few months and it finished just fine creating 3 or 4 new ones across Georgia. Upon entering the year 1862, it said I no...

Well, perhaps "gamey" was a poor choice of word then?

Thanks! I'm not trying to start an argument about this event, just trying to figure out if it's winnable without "assistance" from your opponent. Yes, it is allowed in the rules of the game unless both players agree to its 'off limits" early on. But that would not be strategically the best way to be...

1861 Manasas event

So...how can the USA really "win" the 1861 Manassas event to avoid a -10 NM hit when up against an entrenched Bory (4-2-5) and Longstreet (5-3-6 & a 231pwr) and 3 other CSA generals and forces that just never seem to lose cohesion or men? After 2 major battles and I haven't even dented the Manassas ...

I am currently in a game played up to JAN 62 in which I have tryed to keep the artillery and supply pools pretty stable w/ at least 1. I've noticed that if you concentrate your replacement funding to these 2 early on you can begin to stabalize them fairly early, depending on the battles fought and r...

I think its only gamey in certain situations, like to "get out" of an unwinnable battle or the like. But think of it like this too, you are the CINC and have control of your commanders so why not be that CINC that says "OK if your not going to take this force and do something with it then I'll give ...

Recording an alternate history

I too would enjoy having this in an AACW2. A way to generate OOB's and detailed battle reports to go back too seems a really cool feature. And the alternate options as if they did actually happen is always an interesting twist. Thanks marecone for reposting your comments!

A rework of the game engine or anything related to it is the last thing I would ask for or expect Grey. So please don't think that i'm doing it to ask for something to change it later. i would not dream of it! I just had a moment of cursing during this game turn and now I feel better. The research i...

Blizzard conditions for 2 months?

In the current PBEM game, I am trying to get a small Union force back home moving through the Blue Ridge mountains along the WV/VA border. The problem I have is putting into context how blizzard conditions can exist in so many regions for so long. I have now had 2 turns where blizzard conditions are...

Vince, It is partly due to the User Account Control settings found in the control panel settings and the other responsible culprit is probably that "virus"(not really) the Windows Media Center. Blue Marble Graphics

It's not the lack of detail that bothers me, but it's blurry. What kind of cartographic projection are you using for the map? Theoretically one could try to make a mod that replaces the textures with hires versions, which could be made from satellite images like this one: I know there is a Mod for ...

We can not really know because it never happened, at least in a big way. Only provide conjecture and observation as you have and I will here.
