Looks and sounds great, but I hope we will not loose that old school map graphic style that made ACW, ROP, WIA and RUS so special for me. AJE like map graphics are easier to make I guess but doesn't have the same flair and style. Don't know if other people feel the same way. +2, much better these m...

Glad to see the map impreved!
Any chance to see a more detailed logistic system? I mean actually is too easy keep the units supplied especially the amphibious forces.

Still a good deal. Sure but I don't want to buy it again. If you really want to know if you can download again you'll have to contact the company you bought it from. Directly by Ageod therefore I'm asking here :) However, I'm willing to bet that you are way past your allotted time to get a free rep...

Game file corrupted

Hello, I just changed my computer but I'm not able to install AACW anymore, the system freeze when I launch the .exe file. No antivirus or UAC involved, therefore I tryed to copy the file in another folder and I discovered that after 25% it freezes again and I think is corrupted (unfortunately it wa...

I got Skyrim on discount some days ago but I don't know which mods should be set in. Any recommendation? I want a harder, more realistic game with non dynamic monster leveling. Sorry, never tryed a single mod so far, I have played Skyrym a year ago... Anyhow is time to start another game and there ...

I'm trying to play Skyrim at the moment and it keeps crashing. I wish it wouldn't - it looks wonderful and makes me feel like I am actually in a dungeon. It is, a milestone! However as it seems that I won't be able to play it on the PC I have (a PC I spent a lot of money on to be able to play games...

Was talking about WIE. Eh eh, strange game...fantastic research about OOB but time scale wrong for my taste, in fact a lot of expedients have been created trying to mitigate gamey or unhistorical behaviours but one week/10 miles per turn is not correct (IMHO), carpet defence or chain HQ build up ar...

I'm not sure about monster games. Whether they are complicated enough that player have enough tools to influence battle tactically. Or is it complex because there are so many units to move around. HPS series have good OOB, map, better tactical approach and price. If you are speaking about WitP I wo...

If he is speaking about them, beh...they are worth every penny (maybe WitE a bit less), I played both and they are very detailed and complicated games.

Spharv2 I really hope you are right! :) Anyhow when I was a newbie ACW player I found the most difficult concept to understand how the combat system works, the supply system wasn't so diffcult. In the winter turns is emough to keep the units sheltered, in the summer turns but very large armies you c...

Supply. We are still not too sure. It will be basically the advanced supply system of AACW1 which was improved over the years, but we are thinking of allowing a switch to something simpler, for new players. We will see how it turns out. Pocus, maybe just me but please...no! :) The logistic is very ...

I hope the new AGEOD launches maintain the actual price police. I would never pay the "outrageous" amount of money that Matrix ask for some new games.

Just a quick question, it would be a biweekly turn like the previous one? (If so you have already my money, seriously!)

For the balanced game, I understand. We want to have a balanced game too, but with the must real impact of History, so perhaps 30 PE is too expansive for Clodius to declare war ? About the balance I still don't know therefore I'm asking to the other players, anyhow if I see my NM and the Severus on...

Septimius Severus scenario

I'm playing this scenario as MP game (Clodius side) and Rome fallen to Septimius Severus. Thanks Yellow Ribbon for the detailed info :) Pocus said: There will be a fix for this loophole in the next patch. Thanks for the answers. In my game I have a medium forze (200+ power) sieging a small force (about 50 power) in a 2 city fort and are three turns that I'm waiting without any success, no leader bonus but my force is infantry at least. It seems too much for a such garrison but maybe is just unlucky r...

Siege

Question about siege that came out during my MP game. If I understand correctly only Legions can build siege weapons, therefore if I have 100000 soldiers behind a 2+ wall with 50 men inside I'm not able to take the city, is it correct? Moreover, even if I have a Legion in the region but the territor...

Just started a MP game with the new beta patch installed. I olny move a legion and I have been so unclucky to take cohesion hits, of course some of them were on the legatus element. Now I have to pay 5NM and 30 denarii for replacements, silly. Given the time scale chosen (30 days per turn) you can m...

But then it's even more unlikely that they would suffer from attrition as badly as the ordinary grunts. Absolutely right. Given the game mechanics loosing 5 NM and 30 denarii every time you need replacements (and it happens very often if you play with historical attrition) is too much, then you can...

Why do you say "but"? I think that 15 day-turns would help to fix Mattos issue that armies are too unpredictable because of their huge reach. Instead of lowering their speed, one can also circumvent the game-play-consequences of their "speed" (=unpredictability) by increasing reaction ability. +1. ...

Why Legatus replacements cost 5 NM when buy a legion cost only 2? Which is the historical reason for that?
Ok 30 denarii but 5 NM seems to high (playing Clodius in the Septimius Severus scenario).

To me this kind of behaviour is correct as it makes no sense for an army to just walk up to an enemy's walls, assault, move on, assault the next city, move on etc. It's already too easy to take small cities by assault, no need to speed up movement even more and end up using Blitzkrieg like tactics ...
