Hey PANGI, I've been thinking for a while about doing a pack for the AWI too. I was going to ask you about it, but since you don't have time, I could try to do it. And if you already have some work done, I'd be pleased to have somewhere to start from. Let me know what you want to do.

That's one of the best book on the period. The only regret I have about it, is that it doesn't represent the French court and its strategy (or perhaps lack thereof) in as much details as the British one. It lacks the political context of the French decisions, when the struggles between the differen...

I'm speaking in the dark here, but doesn't the Pequots War scenario use units from the FIW scenarii? I know Chris wants to include a different Highlander model for his Pontiac War scenario (it's coming Chris, it's coming!), but I'm not sure whether he added a different model or not.

For all of you ACW freaks, and everyone else too, get a shot at Ambrose Bierce's Civil War Stories . As thrilling, horrible, poetic and dark as war will ever get. And so vividly real and dry it will haunt you long after closing the book. Bierce's description of the growing tension in an army drown i...

The Road Home, by Jim Harrisson. Nothing of an academic work (although considering the depth and the subject of the story I would challenge that statement), but since you asked for what's currently on the table... Great reading by the way.

Maybe if people stopped being paranoid about bacterias and making their home a sterile laboratory-like environment, there would be less kids prone to alergies and diseases.

As much as I'd like not to mention it, it doesn't seem very far from what PI does. And they've managed to develop as faithful a fan base as can be. To use a polite term.

For the FIW, what Arsan said. Play the British, stay on the defensive (mind you, a firm one) and be patient for the 1st half of the war, and you'll end up quietly steamrolling the French all the way to the St Lawrence valley with little trouble. Play the French, make good use of your excellent leade...

@ Hobbes
I'll take some time to rework your Pontiac War highlander. It is still quite pixelated and is obviously not up to PANGI's units standards. I should have something in a few days.

Nice and quite complete review! However, I'm not sure to agree with you on the cheer difficulty of WIA, especially seeing how often you get back to this particular point. I believe I classify as a very casual wargamer, BOA having been my first game ever in that genre and only playing WIA and AACW on...

It was a pleasure, really. ;) Yeah, I'm toying around with graphics. But the lonely Scot from before wasn't playing with his sporran, nor with anything else down there for that matter. He was actually playing violin. The original is a painting from Robert Griffing that's called Long Way from Home , ...

Here you go. A darker blue would be even better, but then we might not be able to see the difference with black. I believe that one to be a good compromise.

I'm not sure, but I think if you open the scenarii files with a text editor, you *may* find what you're looking for. The files are located in your \Wars in America\WIA\Scens folder. If that doesn't help, you may want to have a look into \Wars in America\WIA\Events , and also open the files there wit...
