The problem isn't the Frenchness of their transportation - I've had exactly the same teleportation happen with Japanese troops landed from a Japanese transport.

Have the same thing with the French obsession with Metz. This is playing as CP with game started with version 1.01, historical campaign. My NM is 147 by early November with a lot of that due to futile French attacks on Metz, so with the NM win threshold at 150 it'll probably be a short game ;)

Entrenchment level in Africa

I've noticed that my (WE) and enemy units in Africa are reaching level 4 entrenchment in 1915. I had the impression that the maximum entrenchment level in Africa should be 1 in that year. Am I mistaken or is it a bug?

Unfortunately the link to the Beta patch does not seem to work - I'm getting a 404 error.

Just to update you: I have discovered that this issue was not with Windows 7 after all. After playing on my XP installation I noticed that the options were set to strictly-turned based, whereas the options on my Win7 installation were set to WEGO. With some experimentation I realised that, on either...

As I have a dual boot computer with Windows XP and Windows 7 partitions I updated the XP installation of WW1 and tried my save game - it works fine, so the problem seems to be a Windows 7 issue. I'm logged in as Administrator with UAC disabled and Avast antivirus configured with the WW1 folder as an...

Thanks for your quick response. Unfortunately, even after reinstalling the game from scratch in the order: Original game - Gold Upgrade kit - patch 1.08F and experimenting by changing various settings before hitting the end turn button, I am experiencing exactly the same freeze. To be clear, I get t...

Game Freeze

Hello, Have been playing and enjoying an Entente Grand Campaign of WW1 Gold with few problems, but have just encountered a complete freeze where nothing seems to be happening and my cursor will not move at the resolution of the May 1916 Interphase (please see attached savegame). I have tried simply ...

Hi,

Can confirm this & have attached a save game with various British fleets around England which can't return to port. It also seems from watching the CP turns that the AI does not have the same problem.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my savegame - the issue with the diplomacy makes sense now that you have explained some of the influencing factors, and I agree with you that it would be a good idea to make these factors more transparent to the player in some way. As for the strange behaviou...

HQ Strangeness

Hi, I have attached the save files of a strange event during my current 1914 Campaign playing as the Entente - the save is during the redeployment phase of the May/June Interphase, and if you look at Dinant you can see that the British First Army is there as well as the German High Command, and the ...

Just started a brand new 1914 Grand Campaign as the Entente and noticed that the unit in Kuwait was still showing the out of supply icon, and troops could not be naval transported from there. After a bit of playing around I checked the .MAP file for my save and noticed that although the "borders" en...

In my current CSA game the Van Dorn event occurred, but he was removed while leaving the 2 cavalry and one horse artillery brigades he was with intact. However, he was not embedded within a brigade or division, which may be where the original problem lay, I forget. The game was running under 1.05f a...

Thank you. Enjoyed reading it a lot :) Just bought the game recently myself, and it's interesting to see how somebody else plays.
