Spy Units

Playing as Central Powers and just received the event Bolo Pasha and received a spy unit. What are the perks of this unit? Are they able to perform espionage functions or are they a benefit to a stack?

How do you build depots in EAW? Other AGEod titles typically had this listed as a decision but I'm not seeing it.

Turn Checklist

Hi, I remember there being a 'turn checklist' for the North and the South for ACW. Did anyone create something similar to this for Civil War II? I thought it helped as a primer to get myself into a habit to check on things I often forget about.

I second this idea and would be in favor of more interface options in general.

Fleets

1. Do fleets in the Shipping Lanes/Blockade boxes need to go back to port to refit or refuel? Or can I leave them out on the ocean for extended periods of time? 2. Is it better to combine individual ships into fleets (even w/o a commander) or should I leave them as single elements? 3. What do the sa...

Display Options

Thank you Ageod on another excellent game! I'm a little shy of 10 hours of playing time and CWII fills the shoes of it's predecessor well. Not sure if I'm missing any of these in menu options but are there ways to: a. Change the game resolution or switch to windowed mode? b. When I click on a unit i...

Change is hard sometimes.

I was unsure how I felt about this at first. But what could be better than two of the best strategy game makers merging. Hopefully this will provide better resources to both AGEOD and Paradox.

Congratulations and best wishes!

It will depend of the amount of wars going on... I am just concerned with the amount of information that needs to be processed. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love the idea of many intricacies and the game looks fantastic so far (especially the hope for great economic modelling). To be honest my c...

Looks amazing, with a lot of detail.

How cpu intensive is each turn going to be? It looks like it will be very demanding each turn and many variables to compute for many countries.

Keep the updates coming!

Game after patches

Initially this game received negative criticism when the game was released. Have the patches fixed many of the common problems that were being complained about? I tried the demo when it was first released and was not too impressed by it. Is it worth a buy now?

If you are looking for a great police drama check out the Shield. It just completed its series finale a few months back. All in all a great show from beginning to end. Excellent season story lines, great dialogue, and amazing actors in the show.

Oh ok, I understand now! So a lower number is better with seniority. For some reason I was thinking the other way around. Thanks so much for the quick responses.

It says:

Seniority: 3 [4]

Does that mean he has a seniority of 3 and needs to be at 4?

I also noticed that I have Hooker who is a one star who has a seniority rating of 14 [12] and it won't let me promote him either?

Promoting Leaders

I am finally winning battles as the Union with my first game. How much more exciting the game is once you begin to win a few large-scale battles! In the description box for Grant is says that he is promotable, however the icon to click on is grayed out. I looked in the manual and still could not fig...

I just picked up the ACW game the other day. I installed it and messed around with it for a few hours. Got frustrated then continued the next day for a few hours. Slowly I am getting a better feel for the game and am not as overwhelmed as I once was. I can tell that this game has a lot of potential....
