I have a P4 with 1.8 ghz processor, 1 gb memory, and a 256 mb graphics card. I'm pretty sure I could handle this fine for the most part.

Judging by the vast scale of the map, and all the activity and towns and such on it, the markers for state boundaries look fine, I think.

All regions are rated for loyalty. My two cents...even if there's a lot of micro-management going on here (and from what the guys are saying it's not bad), it'll still be turn based. No stress pressure trying to manipulate every brigade and every supply depot when you have an entire turn to do it before clicking "Next Turn." I can do...

Forge of Freedom's map isn't bad looking, but AACW's map is better in charm, allure, and detail.

Looks pretty durn good. Is the entrenchment level under Beauregard a lower-level stage? And the Union trench system at Manassas higher because it shows more sandbags?

If I recall correctly there was anti-CSA partisan activity going on in Texas by German-American groups loyal to the Union.
