I certainly saw an improvement with 1.08Q. Running it on my new Surface Pro it rips along nicely, even when it's driving a much larger monitor. Good stuff!

Well, after trying a few other approaches, I finally stumbled upon the idea of disabling all the sound, and that indeed seemed to do the trick - I'm back to a framerate that is tolerably good. Now I'm started to wade in to figure out how the interface works, and the actual rules of the game ... but ...
