As you can see from here http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=2875975&mpage=15&key=&# the mod has been thoroughly tested - I have played the campaign through as Southern Whites twice. I'm not exaggerating when I say that the AI is the best I have encountered during my 25 years of computer war...

Ok..Where do we stand with this game?

I would like to find out, well as the title says, where do we stand? I bought this game when it was first released but for obvious reasons have not become totally immersed into the RCW experience, as one patch was expected after another. Then came the Fatal Years mod in various incarnations which so...

Patch?

I wish to invest quite a bit of time in this game but I want to await the next patch which I believe is to be quite comprehensive. Any updates on a release date? Regards

Well if Kornilov can survive a bit longer than that's a good thing!...

Is the "No" in your answer meaning that it "is not" all inclusive (still need to dl RC3 and hotfix) or does your "no" mean that you do not have to edit files and so it is an all inclusive patch?.... :bonk: ...... ;)

Bolshevik propaganda accusing the Whites of wanting to bring back the Tsar was a big advantage for them. I mean, it's right there in the soundtrack of this game:  Belaya Armiya, Chërnyĭ Baron Snova gotovyat nam Tsarskiĭ tron The White Army and the Black Baron Are trying to restore t...

A Tip Regarding the Manual...

I had forgotten that my B & N NOOK e book reader could handle .pdf files and so I experimented with the RUS manual and discovered that it works perfectly..the images and print is clear and the layout is a full page on the screen..it is a fantastic way to read the manual while playing the game and no...

Yes, but freeing the Czar would lead to a whole lot of pseudo-historical speculation. Really we don't know what would have happened had the whites not advanced on Ekaterina and the bolsheviks quickly executed the family. Maybe the whites would have used him as a figure head, maybe they'd have sent ...

It's too bad that the Czar could not be a random event which might allow him to be freed by the Whites (slight increase in National Morale and a boost in Money {Imperial Gold} or assasinated by Reds (greater increase in National Morale less of an increase in money). Would be a nice ahistorical optio...

I have been holding off buying it because I wanted to see how stable the game is, and from what I have been reading, with a few minor exceptions, everything seems to be going well...Does anyone know when the first patch will be coming out, as I'll purchase the updated game then...thanks

"2) General deaths seem to be occuring at a rather high rate. I've noted 2 deaths of 1-star generals and lost the good Don 2-star general in the first 3 turns. In my ongoing Red campaign there's been a number of dead generals in the first few turns as well. Shouldn't death rates at least be the same...

On the surface, I can see the historical reasoning of not being able to control both Deniken's and Kolchak's forces but I am curious if there is an ability to at least try to "influence" the direction you want your AI partner to go? In other words, does the gameplay of your AI ally affect your own v...

What about intra-faction struggle as game element? A little element of Cremlin (board game)? Did such struggles happen during Russian Civil War? I remember some White Generals were real drama queens. Think about all those possible political fights in the Politbureau (or White leading board) between...

In your desription you state; "Can you capture Lenin or eliminate the different White leaders?" Now I always felt that one of the reasons the Whites were unable to win was because their top Generals died rather early in the war. For example, Kornilov and Markov were blown to bits and Kaledin took hi...

Though there are some criticisms to Perry Moore's "Stamping out the Virus" it is a great book to find the semblence of OOB's for both sides. Perry Moore is also a game designer and he has produced a number of RCW board games covering such battles as WHITE STEEL, RED BLOOD (1919 Kharkov), TANK ACTION...

Some Wild Card Elements...

I was wondering how certain "groups" would be handled in the game. For example the Czech Legion could help or hinder either side as they marched east. Nestor Makhno's Anarchist's drove the "White" General Deniken crazy by disrupting his supply lines and he also had no love for the "Reds", and variou...
