On the paper yes, rifled art have an edge over smoothbores in offensive ops, but in truth I don't remember a single situation where having one or the other had an influence in my decision path, while wondering if I should attack or not ;) Artillery purchases are rather a matter of economical optimiz...

As I played 3 full PBEMs without noticing, it seems like I'm well able to play a couple others waiting for ammo consumption to come back without grumbling ;)

Looking for a new opponent

After a 4 games streak with Blutch, we have agreed for a temporary truce, which I woud like to use to battle with someone else, with the side of your choice :)

Yes, you got it

Anyway, in your situation, you really need to open a water supply route to your besieged structure, else you may evacuate with your transport, as you really don't want to surrender your division, do you ?

No, though supply is shared within a stack for consumption, there is no way to transfer supply stock between units.

I don't know if I'm clear, since the nuance is quite subtle for that matter :bonk:

Yeah, he also tends to easily rise to army command in my game, as he performs well at corps command as long as he keeps close from his army leader, but after being given an army, he usually ends up on second rate theaters :)

He is not useless overall as CSA is hard pressed to 3. Forest terrain severely restricted your ability to use superior numbers due to frontage limitations. While Grant's superb stats allowed him to deploy the majority of is forces at once (see wiki http://www.ageod.net/aacwwiki/Frontage for additio...

Thanks :) I didn't realize that you were on a "real" North/South confrontation, serious business indeed :D That logistical situation must be quite a burden, from what i saw as a CSA player to this day, interior lines are the only available asset to achieve local superiority for a counteroffensive. At least he doesn't have any entrenched artillery with Jackson's HQ, which can make a huge difference ;) BTW, that quite puzzles me as I tend to see army stacks as my main artillery reserve, but perhaps I'm biased by my french "Grande Batterie" narrow view :bonk: EDIT : would you both inform us of ...

Forrest would certainly NOT have liked the prospect of being far from the front, but his genuine understanding of ennemy supply disrupting would certainly have had some uses at a higher level of command, such as how to handle logistics, in my opinion. Also, let's not forget how he succeeded in evacu...

Quickly Angered isn't much of an hindrance on the other hand, of course i wouldn't promote him at the head of the ANV beccause of it, but in all other theaters, building strong enough corps to bother about CP limits is quite utopic anyway :D
