Too Historic?

I'm a big fan of this era, but I always have a problem when the game forces me to do what really happened. I think the best example of this was War in the Pacific, where you really couldn't do much that wasn't done in real life...making me ask the question why play at all if I know how it's going to...

Lincoln will have Richmond for a Xmas present

On my newly started game, things are going very well. Grant is looking at Nashville, and will start the siege on the next turn (I forgot to get enough boats for him to cross that turn) Meanwhile, a bunch of no names have marched down to Richmond and unless this R. Lee dude :niark: and a handful of t...

I read the manual a few times, but I think you can still run into a few (or in my case a lot) of issues that it doesn't cover.

Possible Bug?

I've got yet another problem for y'all to solve. I have a couple one star generals who are sitting with a bunch of men somewhere, just waiting for me to create a division, only I can't. The create division button is highlighted, but I can't create it, even though the commander is active, there are e...

Nathanael Lyon

Great guy, I really love it when he shows up, because it means I can get the action started. He has never let me down, floating around the greens keeping everybody away.

Love him!

ok, I saw that the leader was inactive but he's like that every turn, and I can't see how to change it in the manual.

Do I just have to get a new leader?

Corps can't get into aggressive stance

Allrighty, I got another for y'all. I'm starting a new game here in a sec, just because I can't get my corps to get out of the defensive stance to something more aggressive. Sure, they can get into the passive one, but that really just wouldn't help out. I've got 4 divisions in it, and I'm pretty su...

very nice, I think that's what I'll do when I start me game over pretty soon. It has to help alliviate the problem I've been having in the east where I just cannot get my corps to attack anything. They can't even get into the aggresive postition, it's making me a little angry. I'm posting another th...

Just read the leaders list and saw that Grant and crew are indeed coming very soon. I guess I was just getting ahead of history for a sec.

Thanks for all the help

Moving generals out west?

I'm still very new to this game, and while I'm having a blast FINALLY getting the hang of creating divisions/corps in the east, I'm at a bit of a loss in the west. My main problem is a lack of one and two star generals anywhere near Ohio or Illinois or pretty much anywhere that isn't D.C.. I've got ...

Game Map

I think I saw a thread about this a while ago, but I was wondering if there was a map of the regions of the game available to download?

The in-game map is huge and I'm having a bit of a struggle trying to plan stuff out since I can only see a small amount of land at a time.

Union Beards

Is there a reason why the majority of the Union generals have big, almost goofy looking beards while a lot of the gens. from the south don't?

Great Game!

I know that there are a bunch of posts of people saying how much they love the game, but I just felt that I needed to say it too. I first noticed the game a while back, but was a little strapped for cash and time so I had to let it go. Then over spring break while floating around the web, I found my...
