So because the game is out among the masses and buyable on Steam where millions can see it that makes us bad for using it? And it makes it bad that Ageod is getting more publicity? The logic of anti steam people never ceases to amaze me. I supposed you hate Paypal also, still use a fax machine and r...

The interface is this games worst enemy

The interface in a wargame has to be slick, and this one has serious issues with clicking, picking up and moving units. What is the best way to get around this? The bars under a soldier icon in a area are not cutting it for me. I drag and drop, and half the time it wont pick a unit up or it just de ...

Yeah I have fallen for that many times. I think what I did wrong in the tutorial ( I kept playing after the time limit) was attacked too weakened and my cohesion was messed up because I had a big stack with not enough leaders. I did figure out moving my ships in to bombard and help on the attack tho...

Yup thats exactly what I needed. I was close in my ideas but just going about it wrong. I figured leaving without a wagon would be bad. Thanks. Does that theory extend into most Ageod games like the new Russian Revolution one? I mean with supply carts and things like that? Yeah I was playing the Bri...

Slowing down the combat wheel?

You know the combat wheel that pops up before the battle results? For some reason in my game it comes up and disappears REALLY fast is that because the battle is so short or do I have something set wrong? Seems that in Wars in America it stays up longer. I like to watch the red and green bars what c...

Hopefully I have no issues learning it

I also own BOA2 WIA and recently the Russian Revolution.

Hopefully there arent too many differences as I am still learning Wars In America. The supply kills me

Supply is a tough one

I have looked over the WIKI and the book but I seem to be having an issue with approaching the game as far as traveling. Even in the tutorial scenario I noticed that I become unsupplied quickly as the troops move overland. Although I won the scenario I never took Charlestown. I even bombarded with m...

Sortie from a fort: exactly what does this do

I know the concept, but scouring the rulebook I wasn't able to find exactly what this does. If you have a unit in a fort or city or what not, exactly what effect will this have on the game if you tell them to do this?

Leader promotions

I had the chance to promote Charles Lee during a Southern scenario and did not do it the turn it was available.

Next turn the unit said "promotable" but I could not click the promote button.

Is there a time limit to promote a leader?

Combat: a breakdown

I have not used the battle report program yet, so please bear with me As I understand combat it has 6 rounds per day Will combat ALWAYS be 6 rounds (if a force doesn't retreat)? How do you determine what the maximum range is for combat to START? I know it says terrain determines this but is there a ...

Hello all, question about provinces that turn red

I noticed when I play sometimes that on the normal map view a province will be colored red. I looked around in the book and could not for the life of me figure out what this meant.

Anyone know?

How do you think this game will compare to something like this game:

Which, as far as I know, is this games only competition. Will the combat use the same system as NCP, WIA, and Civil War game?

Oh I see. I had no idea that the World War one game had a new engine. I hear its not doing so well though. Man that WW1 game looks complex

back to AACW, I think it looks complex because it adds in so much economic features

Can that be turned off or adjusted to have the AI handle it at first

is this the most complicated of the big 3 games?

By that I mean, is AACW the most complicated to learn of all the AGEOD big strategy games, and in that list I put Birth of America 2 and Napoleon's Campaigns? I like AGEOD games I do, even if I find the combat a bit odd. However, this game looks head and shoulders more complicated than anything they...

Losses in combat manpower wise?

I really still do not understand the battle results page Exactly how can I tell HOW MANY men were lost? How well written is the manual, and is there a sample manual I can download and look at before purchase? Also does it let you fight then entire Rev. War? lastly would you say this game is too complex or just right? By too complex i mean that in some cases, Battles in Normandy and Battles in Italy ca...
