You can purchase the game in the U.S. from Best Buy (in-store and on-line) as well as Amazon. It's still priced at the original $29.99, which is a very good sign. It's one of the better strategy games available, so spread the word.

These steps are really not needed as the new aacw.exe will override the old one as both are called the same and the original desktop will point now to the new exe.

Hope you guys can put up with just one more. I know, off topic, but the board is a little slow at the moment and I thought some of you may enjoy these. He rescues the girl and, at the same time, acquires free transpo (a horse) for her and Lone Watie... It's Mr. chain blue lightnin', himself .

I've been asking for a manual update since last year, so I suspect it's not going to happen anytime soon, though occasionally I hear rumors myself. You have to remember, you bought a great game, BUT, it's two years old, the programmer/developers are programming for a living not a hobby meaning they...

Any hints how to improve the accessibility of the game for new players are welcome of course! :) I realize you guys are strapped for time, but anything that could be added to the tutorials would only help this game. That, and updating the manual. Furthermore, what might be helpful to new players wo...

No option, it's historical fact. The Corp formation was not in use until sometime in 1862. Oh, I know; I wasn't questioning that fact. I was just curious about the toggle, because some people may simply prefer to bypass one particular facet of historical accuracy in order to use corps from the outs...

One of the newest changes that is being implemented is the disabling of the ability to form Corps until 1862 Early Mar. (both sides). This is being implemented in v1.12a. I'm assuming this is going to be a hard change. Or, are you guys going to include a toggle in the options menu? Lensman, you may...

I'm also surprised that the forum is so quiet... It may be somewhat due to the fact that the game is not yet available at retail outlets/websites in the U.S. Many people will only buy games off the shelf as opposed to purchasing a download. I suppose, too, that some people may be unaware of a new g...

Are you in the U.S., Mosby? If so, where did you find it?

I bought a copy of AACW at Best Buy some time ago, but I've not yet seen BoA2.

The tutorials were reworked somewhat for v1.11b and later. Not sure if the instructions match the newly reworked tutorials or not just yet, but prior to v1.11b the tutorials had not been touched in months. Ok, thanks, Lensman. If I find time I'll update to v1.11d and go through the tutorials to see...

Hi, Wolfy here from England. I've just bought this game as I am a historical nut on the ACW. So far I have worked my way through the first tutorial and I have a couple of questions (I've checked the FAQ). In regard to the first tutorial; not sure if anyone has noticed, but the player is instructed ...

The CSA is racing ahead of me in about every department The CSA received intellegence reports regarding your whiskey stockpile. And anyway, that's what brought me to 84, what brought them to 112? They found your whiskey stockpile. Good questions, Heldenkaiser. n00b here, so I'm learning a lot from ...
