You should try AI without any FOW advantage... reduces its agressiveness significantly. Err, i was playing with no FOW advantage to AI, normal lvl and normal aggression, more time for AI, etc... Union AI committed suicide in Dec '61. AI's plan was good , but was used in middle of the winter, so wro...

1) They did same in my campaign during the winter of '61, but they moved back in spring. So i would assume thats because of higher attrition during those months. If you are winning , they will pull them again , and cover some coastal areas trying to blockade your harbours. 2) I had same problem with ...

Hi! Certainly, the first battle seems a little lopsided. But bear in mind one very important thing that can help to understand (or at least explain) some of this results: - On the battle report, you will see all the elemnent both sides have present on the region... but it did not mean all of them p...

In my campaign total number of casualtes is around 200k/year for both sides, that sounds close to real numbers. I do get some occasional results like this (this is with 1.09e), but i contribute that to CP penalties, lack of cohesion and AI lack of positioning (second one has 0 casualties for me thou...

You can end up not having any manpower, WS or money problems with CSA at all, playing with Normal difficulty. I just finished my first ever April campaign and by June '62 I had 100 line infantry regiments(275 of them) more then Union, and thats a just Line infantry(i compared it after game was over)...

Could both problems, enemy stack bypassing an inactive stack and inability to promote an inactive leader, be due to the inactive lock option? I thought, that if general is inactive, even with lock would still engage(or try to) incoming enemy if region ZoC is favorable(100%)? With penalty present bu...

There is one answer, at least. One static unit makes the entire stack static. Static stacks don't have all the options available. That includes the option to promote the commander, and the option to separate out a division to individual units. Pull any static units out of the stack, and those optio...

 Is it possible that you successfully retreated before combat in both regions on both turns? Nope, i always read every single message in that log and double click them on top of it. I even tried to attack with Jackson in second turn (setting him to orange ) but nothing happened. Although ...

You will never attack when your stacks are in a defensive blue posture. However, as you have 100% MC of the region, the US stack would have been automatically shifted to an orange attack posture. The US should have attacked you in Alexandria. There is a slight possibility that the two stacks will n...

Game options and Gameplay questions

First of all sorry if all this was already asked. But i tried to use forum search, and couldn't find anything satisfactory on this. I would really like to understand some Options in the game : 1) Use all behaviors 2) Give AI more time What exactly does this entails, other then what it said in tool t...

Since the next official patch is probably still weeks away, I decided to go ahead and update the mod today. There are a few fixes and tweaks. The models have been edited for Jabberwock's leader portraits which are unofficial at this time. See the first post for details. The mod should still be appl...
