My take on entrenching is a little different i guess. Correct me if im wrong on this, but i dont remember many battles fought away from cities that involved extensive entrenchments. Most were meeting engagments. The armies would entrech while the were staying still, but the attacker would take this ...

Yeah ive noticed very lopsided outcomes also. Most times i think it is related to entrenchment levels. I think the effects of entrenching sould be lessend when troops are ouside of forts. Although in fairness to the designers it looks to be a very tricky issue to deal with. Many variables and such a...

La Ricain, You seem to have some knowlege about the blockade runners in the CW. This subject has been an interest to me for some time. But I haven't read to much about them. They seem to be treated as a minor issue in most history that Ive read. Would you know of any material that would shed some on...

Oh i should have seen that. I see that the blockade box is used to represent the effort to interdict runners on the open sea. Makes sense now. thanks Rafiki.

Just a thought here. I dont know what exactly is meant when we say a port is blockaded. It is somewhat confusing. During the civilwar the forts could blockade a certain port, meaning they could prevent large merchant ships from coming or going. But the blockade runners did not use the ports as the p...

Doubling turns in a scenario

While this game is certainly one of the best civil war games ever made, if not the best, I would still like to tweak some things. I find that 2 week [or 15 day turns] are a bit to long for my taste. I like to have a bit more controll over my units by reducing the time between orders. So iv'e double ...

I followed your instructions and i was able to edit and insert changes to the models into the game. I played a few turns and all seems well. So far Ive been able to edit the cities and models. This is a lot of fun! Its just a start, but gives me an idea what is possible. I can see that the hard part...

Followed same procedure as i did when i saved setup, events, and city to make cvs file. Made sure semicolon was right ...

I would also like to have Muster Points to send new units to. Would make it much eaiser to keep track of new units. Also, its been mentioned, a option to go to a battle map and Fight individual battles. It would lend much to the game. I think a response to this was that it would be difficult to make...

Could the South win?

Well they had one great advantage. Look at it this way. They din't have to win. They just dint have to lose. The fate of the South was really in the hands of the North. The South could just sit there and do nothing and win as long as the North did the same. The North had to decide if they really wan...

newbee..need csvsplitter

Hello everyone. Im new here. I want to try and edit some stats in the game, and found the wiki site. They explain that you need to open files with OPEN OFFICE , which i have downloaded. then after editing you need to save file, then open with csvsplitter and convert files. My problem is that the lin...
