Not that it has anything to do with this company but I learned my lesson, the hard way, about buying downloads. I spent 35 bucks for Strategic Command and it downloaded fine. Music Selection Question

I've played this game since 2008... but mostly always with the music off. :( Why?...well...because I can only hear union tunes! :( :( Does the game do this just to annoy me...or....do players of the union side always hear only Southern music selections? Could I be missing something in the Options se...

Yep..I had those two objectives in the bag by April '62 also, but this time something obviously went haywire. It is usually just this time when the yanks throw in the towel but not this go 'round. Go figure. I'm starting a new camaign and for a change I plan on taking a purely defensive stan...

Kind of quirky

I just finished a full 2 theater campaign which ended in a stalemate on last turn January 1866. (this patch version) Thing is ...I took 100% of all the yankee territory ( even the far western) and also decimated their fleets. My national moral never got above 144 and in the final months, as I cleane...

Commanders Exceed Authority Now????

After installing 1.10b my units are exceeding their authority and moving to places I never ordered them to go. At least it is beginning tio appear that this is the case. What up with that? :8o: True ,I have only played a few turns in a new game but already General Polk by moving well beyond the posi...

What Determines # of HQs

What is it exactly that sets the number of HQ units that are available for the player to develop? Some games I have more than I can possibly use. In the game I'm playing now they are as scarce as hens' teeth. I'm even thinking of sending in R.E. Lee as a corp commander :sourcil: because turn after t...

I'm curious as to why it is always destroyed. Is this supposed to reflect guerilla activity by Baltimore based Confederate sympathizers?...or is there something else involved? ...and speaking of railroads... :sourcil: Why are the AI Feds so lax about repairing their destroyed railsystems? Perhaps it could be good to add more ways to win the game, i.e. that even if you haven't enough NM to win, you can achieve victory by controlling e.g. 95% of the strategic cities and all the objective cities? (or something like that) Problem was I had 99.9% controlled and still they hung on. Untill...

I'M Getting Fairly Concerned Here

I am nearing the end of my first post 1.10 patch campaign. I've pushed the yanks all off the map. They only have a slim section of Upper NY state and Ft Laramie (which btw is cramped packed with fed units) and New England still under yank domination. It is January 1865 and with all the terriitory my...

It has always struck me as a bit odd the way captured supply is handled in game. It is as if not only the wagons and horse/mule teams were captured and put into your service, but also the actual teamsters themselves, instead of being paroled or sent to POW camps. Then as the teamsters succumb to the ...

What Does It Mean To Destroy A Depot?

I order a unit to destroy a depot. I leave the unit in place for the required time. I get the depot destoyed message. Yet, if I move another unit into the depot, it and it's supplies are still there. The new arrival unit can resupply from it, so I have to assume that the enemy's unit can do so too. ...

But if it is a real "bug" (a fault or defect in a system or machine ) then I wouldn't expect a message...and probably this thread probably would never have been started.

Any advice on taking the Fort? Yes. After smashing Sumter in the opening turn, move by rail all those troops (except calvary) over to the Fort adjacent to Pickens. Use them in an all out assault on Pickens as early in '61 as you can. Teleport an officer too. If any other spare militia send them alo...
