Re: Civil War III

I apologize because I haven't read most of this but if there was a Civil War III I'd highly appreciate a better way to multiplayer than PBEM. This one, at least, appears likely. Pocus posted earlier in this thread that any new game would use the Matrix/Slitherine PBEM++ system. That's a good way to...

Re: Don't know if possible....

Pike and Shot was made by Richard Bodley Scott I believe?

But in any case, you would need to have an equivalent ACW but done with the Archon engine, like Empires. Barring that, you can't have communication.

Just wanted to see if there is a consensus on a decision, either being too convenient/powerful or never used.

Re: Adminstrative Expenses....

You mean you play at Balanced difficulty, right? There is nothing you can do 'aggressively' to reduce administrative burden. You just need to know that it comes mostly from how developed your regions are (and the number of your regions), so small countries or underdeveloped ones have no issue. Belie...

Re: Thirty Year War - Editor?

Some AGEOD games have bigger maps, like Wars of Napoleon or Pride of Nations. There is an in house editor, but it is old and rather obscure, so it is only used (was used as we moved to others projects) by the team.

It added some necessary work-around to the UI and to AI thinking, so yes we removed that.

You would have more chances to do less damages and receive more ;)

Although there is a cap on how much damages you can deal or take, but still (and no, I don't remember the cap)

Provincial units infographic (nice!)

From the good people of Team Italy :coeurs: :D I'll just add a tidbit of missing info. At Civilization Level III, the Maurya empire will provide elephants, not chariots in the Indus Valley (listed here as Heavy Cavalry, as this is their base category) https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img922/6876/7usS...

More and more players are probably migrating over time to Slitherine forum and Steam, but the spirit is still there and AGEOD stays alive and kicking :)

About that, Empires is the latest but not the last of AGEOD games...

Re: Leader quality bonus

Leader quality starts at 10, it means 10% to get a 2 on your leader. If you fail to get a 2, you have thrice this chance to get a 1.
Leader quality from buildings is adding up on these base 10%, so with 3 academies, you have 13% to get a 2, and 39% to get a 1.
All is cumulative...

I'm not actually too sure about the meaning of the question :) ... Depending of the battle intensity, how can it be possible that support units and medics and such like be enough to fight the battle?

This comes from the capital region not having the food penalty on growth from others regions ... I can tweak that so the penalty remains, but lower.

From memory, it was to please PhilT, L means Laid and it was added for units past 50% but I'm not too sure there is an in game effect. Probably tied to an old wargame he liked :)
