WON on Steam

Is there a possibility of activating already bought games on Steam?

(Or other Ageod games, actually. I got most of them, but none on Steam yet...)

East 1914 scenario

Nice and short (I would have liked a bit longer version as well), and good to get started.

One problem I ran into: I used the regional decision to "buy" Austrian leaders. They arrived in Wien - but Wien is outside the scenario borders..... So I never got those generals......

If I remember correct, you don't have to merge any files to run the turn, you just have to have an .ord file for each player. You also need to have the host file (.hst), to get the beginning conditions of the turn. If you end the turn - not save it, but end it, so the results can be computed - the c...

Chain of command

Hi, Been trying to learn this game. Currently running an Eastern Entente campaign, as the Russians are a bit easier to get a grip on. Got a question about the chain of command. I got the army group (GHQ) as highest command, giving armies in range a bonus (or malus), depending on rating. Then the arm...

As to the original poster: dont forget that the armies of these times depended heavy on mules for their logistics. (See for example this side for a breakdown of the number of men and mules for a typical 4 legion army... http://garyb.0catch.com/march1/march_intro.html ). More even than the bad weathe...

For an army you need a 3* commander - you simply have none in this scenario, so you can't make an army. For a division you first need to enable a commander to command a division - you assign a division staf to him. You do this by selecting an active commander (J. Baylor for example, on the CSA side)...

I just bought all militia. CA in central california, AZ in Las Vegas and ? Could neither move, nor solo nor in a stack. First noticed when I wanted to move a stack of the LA units down south, the stack started to move, but never arrived (was predicting 16 days, but never got there). After splitting ...

Another thing to look for on the mouse-over for units that won't move is if they are static. Static units won't have a stripe you can see on the unit card and can never be unlocked even if attacked. They are stuck in their region forever. It's very easy to put a static unit in a stack and not reali...

In the Sibley scenario the militia (State Militia and Volunteer) units are not allowed to move. They don't appear to be locked (no red ribbon), but when you try to move them, you get the message "region can not be reached". This goes also if you have one of those units in a stack. Keep them apart, o...

Played at the union side. A nice scenario. some points: At the end I had a tremendous amount of money (1000+ dollars), and all units bought. Loads of replacements, though I did not buy any myself. I noticed some forts, sometimes, get a garison when enemies arrived, some dont and surrender at once. (...

Sounds like V.A.T. As well as paying a hidden $ to Euro conversion cost which is in the 38Euro price you have to pay VAT on this as well which is an extra 20%. Nope, the price is € 31,xx, with VAT it comes to € 38,xx - which is the bill I get when viewing my shopping car. Only when trying to pay th...

I tried to buy AC2. From the Ageod site I was redirected to a seller. Most annoying this seller needs to have my addres and phone number to sell me anything, even an digital download. Ok, I understnad they need to spam me, so I just enter some nonsense numbers, but it is still annoying. They I try t...

Cleaning out some boardgames

Hi, I am in the proces of cleaning out my storage room. In it I found several games I bought a long time ago, and havent played for years. Still reluctant to just hrow them away, I was wondering if someone here wanted them - they are related to AJE. The games are boardgames by GMT. Titles: Alexandre...

Late July. My Russians just got MC over the last Polish region standing between them and the Prussian territory. The remaining 5 Prussian leaders (still camped somewhere in the woods), will be glad that they will be able to go home - even if a swarm of screaming Kossacks is right behind them. Next t...

I thought it was about time to update you all on the news from the Russian front. Well, mostly there isn't. When the Russinas arrived at their border depot, they marched on Koeningsberg. The Prussian army was located one region south of Koeningsberg, and did not move (locked there?). There were a fe...

Fighting, as Russian, the Prussians in the multiplayer game, I did not repeat the 22 breaches in Koeningsberg. The garrison did surrender after just two turns - but that could be just luck. It seems the Military Control (MC) works different then I thought. You dont need more then 50% MC, you need to...

You can use the "Recon" RGD to change the MC of Polish regions, once over 50% you can enter them. I suspected something like that, but gave up after running 10 turns. I now kept at it, and it does work....somewhat. I have got two questions: - It is correct that you can enter Polish (or other neutra...

I did another few turns in my test game. Things I noticed: Brown arrived at Koeningsberg with the 3th (Russian) corps. I put 2 siege commanders with him, as well as the siege artillery. Re-did the first few turns, and this time my Swedish toroops managed to change the MC in Anklam. No idea why it did not work the first time... I also tried out the "Recon" option. It does *not* have a gold additinal manual in the docs folder - just the 3 old manuals (German, French and Eglish version, all from 15-02-2010). I'll retry the cavalry MC change, and see if I can get my Swedish cav...

One of the other Ageod games has a spy (WIA?), there is is a single man counter (like a leader), but with high scout value and a high hide value. I used it, but never had the idea that it contributed a lot.

Scenario remarks: BOR, mercenary wars

Played this scenario through as Mercenary side, against the AI. Generally, the AI didn't "do" anything. I think it had trouble getting the mercenaries it hired to Carthago - so it was outnumbered, and stayed in the city. Made for an easy game. I took Sardinia from the AI. Had to send some of my troo...
