I just want to say, I do not want to return the game. I always liked it and saw its' potential. What does bug me is paying, for what is essentially a patch, to get the game I SHOULD have gotten a year ago. I know some will say "this is more than a patch". But this "gold"edition just puts the game i...

The FR 8th Army Isolated in Salonika

I sent the 8th French Army to Salonika via events, and Greece granted the right of passage to Entente Armies, but the army gets isolated and disbanded after the military phase. I attached the save game.

World War One Review in Turkish Site

I wrote a review on World War One. You can find it here: http://koltukgenerali.blogspot.com/2009/04/world-war-one-la-grande-guerre.html Koltukgenerali (which is the direct translation of armchair general to turkish) is a fan based military history and wargaming site, which is something so rare to fi...

I started a new CG under 1.06d, then upgraded to the 1.06e beta. In October 1914, the RP system seemed to work fine. Each power was able to use 1/2 its RP stock to flip units to full strength. I then saved the game. When I opened the game back up later, each nation's RP stock had been reduced to ze...

For the record, I do understand the point that the "tacticians" are making; it's just that I'm not one of them (I tend to auto-resolve battles after a short while in TW games too ;) ), so I'd hate to see AGEOD's efforts wasted (from my point of view). :)

Mmmhhh... this is why Holland provides only the right of passage through Maastrich, not the supply. You are probably playing in army-by-army mode and you have yet not conquered Liege, so you cannot trace a supply route to Antwerp... so hurry! The problem is, i'm playing in WEGO mode and it's the AI...

Ok, flash response: if the Attacker has adopted the Flash Bombardment, you cannot call reserves until the third round. I'm about to finish my first campaign as the Entente and i'm in the middle of 1918. I haven't been able to send a peace proposal to Austria-Hungary. I'm probably missing out something, since i am fairly new to the game, but i couldn't find an explanation for this: I could successfully launch grand offensives on the Austrian front with Russia and on the German front with France, so ; have no problems with launching offensives. I'm not a wargamer, and although i'm interested in history, i'm certainly not attached to a certain "epoque". Here are the answers: 1)AACW. The very existence of a grand campaign with economic and political aspects adds a lot to the replayability. 2)AACW. I could never get into NCP and WIA as much a...
