Back Agian

I have been gone over a year and wanted to get back into the fighting... My question, I have no idea what the new patches do (where they are to D/L) and the major differences. (Lol, I will settle for where I can get the patches and directions to a sticky, wiki, or posts. LOL, I saw one of my posts f...

Been away a question

Is there any new patches inthe last 6 months or so?

And if there is where can I D/L them.

I have been away for quite awhile but would like to get back to speed.

Thanks :D

I have noticed on both Normal and hard (before the new patch) as CSA that if I don't put ANY ships in the box to attack Union Shipping that I usually get about the same amount every turn as when I do. I then can use the warships for other purposes.... Might be kinda gamey but I honestly find those b...

I agree whole heartedly!!! I play Rugby starting in March and we don't worry about the snow but we DO know mud is gonna be there thru most of April. If snow id there more than 1 day its usually only in shded areas that never see the sun and then its gone by day 2 or 3. However, it seems that the gro...

I live in kansas City, MO and while its not a usual event to have snow in Missouri in april, It DOES (and DID this year) happen every few years. We are about 200 miles north of the Arkansas State Line and it does sem that that area would be more muddy (as the weather systems seem to just go thru the...

Sorry for posting here but saw no other alternative

I purchased GI last night 4/23/08 with my Credit card. It said I would receive a e-mail confirming purchase but I never did. I have no idea where I stand with the purchase (I ordered the CD-Rom version) and I understand it may take up to 3 weeks to receive the game here in the States. I'm not sure i...

Thank you... I by chance do have all three of the EU games (I know it sounds silly but I think I enjoyed EU1 as Turkey the most, even if I DIDN'T understand at that time how Merchants worked). As long as the basics are spelled out I usually will screw around with it enough to actually go...."ohhhh y...

For the life of me I can't understand why anyone would want to get rid of Huger.

Just put him in Jackson's Corps and let him do his thing with the Artillery.

The CSA only gets (I believe anyway) 2 Artillerists early and Hugers 20% increase is as good as it gets.

Pepe's right... We both had the same end result on normal setting (taking Washinton in the first 25 turns or so) breaking the union morale and 'winning' the game (on paper....we both kept on playing after that and the union does keep trying I must admit. The best I ever did was get the union morale ...

Well on Hard setting agianst AI, I attacked Harpers first move 4 times in a row (as CSA and reloaded a NEW game each time because I thought it was a mistake as I had ALWAYS won it np on normal).

Took a whoopin and ran off and pouted for awhile!!

No...Honestly, I am talking about the 2 main armies when (I merge them on hard setting or I get run over at winchester) I merge them and SOMETIMES (only sometimes) I give the Commander a division (or he has one) and then try and say pick Longstreets Brigade (now this is AFTER they become unlocked or...

WillisNYC... I also had the most terrible time I have EVER had trying to figure out Divisions. I still don't know (after about 300 hours on this game) why only SOMETIMES the red + sign will come on on a Division Commander when you hit the Cntrl button but will not allow you to add anyone to that Com...

Thank you for responding to my fear of a 'Game Busting' bug or lack there of. Ok, I have AACW, MontJoie, and have D/L the demo for Napoleons Conquests. I really like the period GI is from and was considering buying this as it is cheap and different from the games I am playing now. My questions to the troops are: 1. Is this game as hard to learn as they say it is (after AACW I...

And that JUST on that photo...not counting upstream ect.

I have seen somewhere that Pickens is one of those forts that you just Are NOT going to get. Unless you just need Pickens, Ft Monroe is a MONSTER to have on your side early on and is VERY takable (I assauted it with Jacksons Corps fairly early). It closes the side door for invasion around that area....

Cohesion is OK...Troops are OK...Strength I guess (agianst 1400) is questionable.

But its more than likely that I use the ASSAULT button WAY too much,

I just DO NOT like to siege because the Union always brings a bully to the fight after I start one.

On normal, after a while its pretty easy to take Washington (once you know what your doing) and do it every time. I think that has been discussed over and over in this thread.
