Any ideas floating around for the DLC/expansion after BOR? I'd give my left arm for the invasion of Vandal North Africa. :D

This is absolutely amazing. Always wanted to play a SCW game and wondered why it was never tackled as a strategy game. I'm keeping an eye out for it. I'm actually sure this has been covered somewhere in this thread already, but - any plans of releasing it as a standalone game through AGEOD? That way...

I don't think it is possible to Assault multiple cities along a movement path. Your Assault order is only functional for your destination region so there is no way to assault multiple cities. I guess it would be to easy and a bit unrealistic to be able to assault multiple cities since this would al...

Yeah, the urban militia has a limited use. I like the fact that they're not permanently fixed, and I've used them a few times to defend cities that were at risk. Moving them around Italy isn't too bad, but I wouldn't exactly wage an offensive campaign with them. :)

Theorically, the "red / red" set of posture / ROE (Assault / Attack at all cost). "Attack" will be enough to capture provinces, but not cities. In practice, there are some reported issues, and your force may not assault everything on the way. Yeah, I put Caesar on red/red but he didn't bother stopp...

If I want to capture cities en route...

...what sort of orders do I have to give? Let's say I send a unit 5 provinces away, but I want them to capture/assault any provinces/cities on the way. Right now my units don't really bother with anything en route (unless it's another enemy unit).

The fast moving of units is one of my few complaints regarding AJE. In my current game, Pompey not only broke out of Spain in 30 days, but a few of his legions were already half-way through Gaul, taking huge swathes of undefended land in the process. Surely in real life a legion wouldn't be able to ...

This. Everything about it is just right. Kudos to the team, and looking forward to the DLCs, patches and everything. Any chance we might get Spartacus as a DLC/free download some time in the future?

I had to register for this game and show my support! :cwboy:

I love AACW although maybe I didn't get into it as much as I would like to, since it focuses mostly on warfare. But VGN appears to be a whole new beast.

Can't wait!
