How the French could have defeated England

I was thinking on this the other day, and finaly came up with an answer. Its simple realy, they could have played cricket against them!! :niark: Sure the French didn't know how to play it, but that wouldn't have mattered either. Its a pity Australia wasn't around properly then, we could have sent ad...

Im curious to know why, if Sappeurs, trains and Pioneers don't benefit the corp stack (verse placement in a division), why does the scenario have them at a corp level? They seem to suck up CP for no benefit? This was probably how they where organised, but if you have to manage your forces to stick t...

I think it makes sense having specialised units at the corp level. This would simulate the Corp Commanders ability to send these units to a division within the Corp that required them. If one of these units was attached to a division, your would think it would not be able to "help" another division ...

How does this function "Commit the guard" (CMG) work in practice?? If you have a division that has say 12 regular elements in it and 1 guard element, will the guard element not fight if the Div Commander does not have the CMG ability?? Would a Corp commander with a CMG overide a Div commander who do...

Quick update, I changed the screen res under the configuration tool to 1024 x 768 and the sprites appear to be in the correct region. It doesn't look as nice as 1280 x 1024 (default desk top res), but it doesn't mislead anymore.

A tooltip with an average estimate (and main modificators) would be welcome.

I think that would be a most excellent addition

Command point breakdown

Playing my first game the other night, I was trying to work out how a force's command points where being calculated. Is there someway of getting a more indepth breakdown of how command points have been calculated? I'm thinking of a tooltip, soemthing like 1 x 3 Star leaders: 9 points 2 x 2 Star lead...

Leave units in a force stack or attach to a division?

I was playing around with a force stack trying to reduce my command penalty, and wondered what is the benefit of not attaching as many units as possible to divisions within the corp? Are some units not able to be attached to a division, such as sappeurs and trains etc? Do you get combat bonuses for ...

The game runs fine (there is no lagging when I drag and drop units, turn resolutions take a minute or so). I have an AMD 4800 dual core, 1 gig ram 1950 XTX card.

I wondered if a different screen res would do stop it happening, I might give that a go.

Thanks for the rapid response.

Units not appearing in correct location

I have noticed that unit icons (portraits) sometimes are not place in the region in which they should be. I have the d patch installed. I have been playing the Austerlitz campaign as the French and have noticed this numerous times. Napoleon starts in Strasbourg, but his icon appears in Grenoble (as ...
