Re: How did the game do?

Well, AGEOD certainly doesn’t dump patches out every few months but when they have collected enough changes, they send them out. Usually you’ll get patches 2-3 years after release....they just aren’t common Understand that this engine is older than dirt. There aren’t a whole lot of bugs left to fix....

Re: Marching to the sound of guns.

I would add that there is nothing to suggest that a battle “only lasts a day”. That is not always the case. Of course in real life, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Shiloh, murfeesboro, Chattanooga, Wilderness and Spotsylvania-among others- were fought over several days up to a week. I believe the game...

Re: No war supply or money in Grand Campaign

Looking here and the Matrix forums, there seem to be a number of concerns over the lack of war supply in particular. Any word on if there needs to be a change or if it's supposed to be like this?

I have been madly clicking refresh waiting for this to pop up on the store. Has there been a change in the date or am I just been incredibly annoying and impatient???

Re: Corps out of army container

Thank you for the detailed answer. So in essence, it is like RoP or ACW in that an army grants bonuses and "uses" corps in the region or surroundings regions...only in EaW, the corps aren't attached so ANY Corps can be used by ANY army in that region or adjacent. So I had set up my armies ...

Corps out of army container

I've played almost every AGEOD game except for this one but I'm a bit confused my the manual. If I form an army, in order to get any benefits I would from that army, must the Corps actually be IN the army stack itself or just in the same region? Unlike ACW2, when I form a corps, it doesn't appear to...

Players have been asking for some type of tactical game be used to resolve AGEOD battles for a long time. I saw a few requesting that Scourge of war: Gettysburg be used in ACW2. Forgetting the fact that they are different engines and different designs, that integration- assuming it is done- would ru...

I haven't had too many crashes but I know many have. I LOVE the AGEOD games. Having said that, the AGE engine is old but still good in doing what it was designed to do. Unfortunately, I think AGEOD got too complex with these games. Thy added bits at a time, like event cards, battle plans, detailed d...

Ok, but then in RUS even being supported anymore if AGEOD retains no control? I understand that RUS was an independent effort right? Will there be a final patch?

Can anyone advice if the stock AI plays this scenario well?

Well, you did your part. I hope AGEOD continues to put out quality wargames but we will see....I would love a "wars of German unification" using the RoP /RUS models....oh well.

I'm going to give this scenario a shot anyway....looks worth the time investment.

Athens, thanks for the clarification. I'm a veteran AGEOD player but have never tried RUS. I would love some regulars to post their impressions of this scenario! How does the AI fare? It's such a great idea for a scenario I can't believe more aren't playing it

Drang nach Osten question

It looks like a blast but cant find any comments on it on the boards. When the game first came out, the was no AI for it but that was a year ago. Anyone tried this scenario? Any tips? There are so many events from bringing armies east to involving various allies in the war and equipping them. I dont...

Focus, by "integrating a corps" does that mean that I can combine several brigades under a leader and click "form corps" and then move that corps into an army container? Are there any containers- divisions, corps, etc- that are formed by combining units, or do we just drop brigades into an army cont...

AI as Prussia

I have played the full campaign twice as Prussians and won both. I would like to try as Austria but don't want to invest the time if the AI isn't game. AI didn't do bad as Austria so I was just curious. Seems the AI might have problems fighting with a significant numerical disadvantage. So....how do...

Szabo provides some great info on the battles and operations. The problem is that he is vehemently anti-Frederick to the point that is clouds all reason. Any "peace" events?

I am curious as to whether individual states can "surrender" or quit the war via event. For example, France takes a certain number of casualties so a player received a red event notice "France withdraws from conflict" or something similar. Does this occur or are the same nations in the conflcit from...
