I asked this in a different thread, but maybe this one is more appropriate. Are the 1.15 scenarios compatible with the new 1.16 release?

Do the hotfixes imply anything about longer times between actual patches? Or will the patches continue at their current schedule?

New WIA Manual?

Any chance of posting the new manual today? I'd love to be able to print it off at work before the long weekend. :sourcil:

It would be very neat if the Jump Map in the lower left could display the filter overlays, especially the one showing region control. It would be nice to see how much territory on the entire map that I control.

About your problems with the tutorials... what happen? Stacks don't move at all? maybe you included some locked units in them? Regards! Exactly what I was saying below - the units move, but they do not make it into Henry. They all end up in Stuart - even the fleet. That's why I was thinking there w...

In order to use them, and not have these conflicting situations, you have to install just the v1.00 version of the game and play the tutorials provided in that original setup. Is it possible to run a dual install of 1.0 on the same system? If yes, are there any settings/registry entries I should pr...

Hi Kilroy! Probably its not your fault. On the last patches there has been some changes on movement speed and railorad connections to make them more historic. And probably the tutorials has not been revised to account for those changes. :p leure: My advice would be to play the tutorials without pat...

When playing the first tutorial with this patch and following the instructions, the second turn begins with the Army of Ohio in Stewart, TN. I've tried several times via rail and not, and they never end in Henry. Via rail, it indicates that it will only take 3 days. Everything I've tried end with th...

Shift key on a unit

The manual and wiki mention this for the shift key when on a unit:

Shift
When a (non-army) stack is selected: See the nearby regions and nature of the links.

What does that mean?

Noob question - Strength values

I'm not even sure where to search in the forum for something related to this - so here goes: I am having a hard time coming to understand all the numeric values in the game in relation to what the maximum for each can be. For example, the strategic, offensive, and defensive numbers of a general. Let...

Mouse Scrolling Option

Is there an option to turn off the mouse scrolling. When interacting with the unit panel or the ledger, I sometimes accidentally scroll the map. I find myself using the keyboard arrow keys for scrolling, so I was wondering if there is a way to disable the mouse scrolling at the map edges?

Saved Game Name

When I save a game with a new name and attempt to enter a number - for example "My Save 1" - the corresponding map filter is applied. Not a major issue, but it wseems like a bug nevertheless.

On the sprites, what does each ball represent, and what does the color indicate? For example, my small regiment had a single yellow ball, while a larger army had 2 green ballls?

Thanks. Some very useful information in there.

At a more basic level, how can you judge the force-on-force levels, and what is an appropriately-sized force to attack with, and the size of the force you are going up against?

I'm having some trouble with tactics as well. Any general advice on how to win? Secure local towns first, then move on to the cities?

I'm a little confused with approaching the strategy of winning.
