In Izver's screenshots, however, I see only transports, not gunboats. :niark: :tournepas I just checked the screenshots again, and that are, to my best knowledge, gunboats, not transports? I can see three or four possible explanations for this: 1 - a single, low cohesion gunboat is not enough to st...

Believe it or not, I had trouble earlier this summer figuring out how to do a screenshot... Here's how... Thank you - in the meantime I found this nifty freeware screen grabber called MWSnap ( http://www.mirekw.com/winfreeware/mwsnap.html ) - and it worked perfectly. Cheers, Nikola

PBEM - strange behaviour

Hello, I'm playing CSA in a PBEM game, it's may of '62 and I put a line of gunboats from forts Henry & Donelson to Lower Cumberland, protecting weakly garrisoned Memphis while bulk of my army is busy getting slaughtered elsewhere. I was not particularly amused when I saw that my opponent first sent ...

Capturing New Orleans

Hi, Can somebody please give me some advice - It's early December, against AI, and I tried an amph. invasion for the first time, loaded units into Farragut's fleet, sailed past forts (got shot up a bit, but nothing serious) and debarked into the New Orleans. After taking heavy casualties, I captured...

Map - Balkans

Hi, Just downloaded the demo, and there are several innacuracies in this neck of the woods - I'm well aware that it was not important in Napoleonic period, but I still think that you might be interested. -Name of the country is Albania, not Alabania (Hell, at certain zoom levels it looks like Alabam...

Kinda ( http://ageod.nsen.ch/aacwwiki/Stack ) :) Might be a bit too hidden away, though. Again, many thanks - and I think that you should put it in the FAQ section of the Wiki - it seems to me that it's one of the first things that a new player (especialy one who comes from cardboard wargames) is g...

Thanks, guys - I thought that it might be the case - just wanted to check. Can somebody of you answer me a quick (and probably dumb) question - I looked all over the manual and the web, but can't find what the various "lights" at the bottom of the unit counter mean - both their colour and their numb...

Bull Run scenario?

Hi, I just bought AACW the other day, game looks terrific, beautiful to look at, rich in detail, easy interface. A dream come true for old 'cardboard' wargamers. Still, I'm trying to figure out the rules by playing Bull Run scenario, and I must say that it's bit disappointing. I just load all the un...
