The AI might still need some adjustments though. Old Beaury marched into Washington DC in late October '61. He faced rather weak opposition. A single battle in Alexandria, followed by an assault, and then the same procedure in DC. Both times with a turn of rest between battle and assault, imposed by...
And here's a .rar archive with all the leaders from this thread so far in the correct folders, including .ini files etc. Just extract it over your game and overwrite when prompted. Please note; i take no credit for the creation of the images. I simply arranged them in the correct folders. Download f...
I understand there is a map tool, which allows me to change names, edit roads/railroads, add or remove forts etc, but does it have the capability to edit the map itself, i.e. add regions, or break existing regions down into smaller ones?
Would it be possible to adjust the scale of the elements from brigade to regiment / battalion, and change the command system to include division forming? For clarity, an example of what I'd like to see: I build several regiments (depending on the nation, Britain would have to have battalions instead...
They do get on my nerves, these General Generals. I can quite easily find their real names, but i would need those illusive database files to add them to the game, correct?
Going ever so slowly...never really used Photoshop before. Anyway, I've picked a German to experiment on. I'll post the result when i have something. EDIT: First try now attached. Struggled a bit making out where the poor man's head stopped and the background began. I might have taken a chunk out of...
Haven't had time to sit down and post exactly what is happening and why it bothers me yet... Here's my best attempt. The retreats I'm talking about are after battle retreats. I think. I find it very hard to follow what is going on in a battle, which, I have to say is as it should be, considering the...
Am I doing something wrong? I keep seeing the BEF march straight through my lines without fighting a battle, Russian armies being defeated in East Prussia and teleporting to another province, where I defeat them again, only to have them teleport to a third province. In Galicia I have Russian armies ...
Ah. Haven't seen that one yet. Keep being interrupted by patches and re-starting to see if Pressburg fires correctly this time. Really should learn to read code so I can have a look for myself at what should be going on.
Speaking of the HRE event; it fires ok for me, but the Confederation of the Rhine confuses me. All the Confederation seems to do is turn the provinces formerly controlled directly by the HRE over to a new nation called, not surprisingly, the Confederation of the Rhine. This new nation is not friendl...
In 1805, having been at war with the Russians as the French for several months in two separate attempts at the campaign, it is very rare to see an actual army in Austria once that campaign starts. The AI does get permission to march through Austria, but uses it only to send some supplies and artille...
This happened to me when activating the Naples event. I was able to get all forces to appear again by using the ledger to select each corps and moving them out of the province they were in. Once they left that province they became visible again.
For the record, the peace didn't fire correctly in my January campaign. I had to load the save as Austria (9 turns after selecting the event) and accept the peace. Once that was done the transfer of territory etc happened the very next turn.
Foot artillery guns were pulled by horses, just as horse artillery was. The difference was that the men in a horse artillery unit were also mounted, whereas in a foot unit the men walked. Why it does not cost horses to build foot artillery, I can't say, but I think it is correct that all artillery w...
To turn your *** leaders into proper armies you need to have them within your GHQ's command radius (press shift to see it on the map), and enable army command for them. Then the amount of CP they have will increase. 24 CP is the standard for a corps (or **) leader.
If you don't mind this being my first PBEM with ROP, i'll take you on. If you're up for it, let me have which ever side is easier, and send me a turn on samba_liten(at)yahoo(dot)se
