OK, please do the DB, as the changes so far are good ones. :) I will do this by early next week, if not sooner. More about the future weathers mod extensions: Basically, they will introduce dynamic annual weather effects. Allowing, for example, warmer than normal winters, unusually severe winters, ...

About my future dynamic weathers extensions: I also follow, and occasionally even play (!), War in the Pacific: Admiral's Edition. By default, seasonal weather is invariant in that game. This presents problems, especially for the Burma and Southeast Asia theater, where in Real Life the monsoon rains...

I can review and update the static, DB-compatible version of my current weathers mod. It's up to you.

But, yes, going forward, future dynamic extensions will be fundamentally DB-incompatible. My preference.

I will review and update the DB file as necessary, then send it back to you. From my perspective, I beg to differ. I can easily see the weather patterns for the entire year in a single line of code. Moreover, it would be a trivial exercise to program a visual display(s) much like what you see in the...

I guess my concerns are that the devs might embrace these modding efforts wholeheartedly at worst, or be somewhat distracted at best. Unless they made it their policy to extend no support to such off-topic (non-historical wargaming) mods whatsoever.

Steampunk? Sci-fi? Sorry gents, but if AGEOD starts to go down those routes I'll lose interest in the company fast.

The decadence, the decadence ... :non:

Outside of my IT/programming, where it's a requirement, I don't really have clinical OCD. I'm a loner, and have an independent streak a mile long, but other than that -- I'm a pretty normal guy.

:) OCD Pedants - there must be a reason for this. I think the world needs us! My employer needs this trait in me. So, too, with "Is a supportNo" immediately to its right. That sort of stuff has been bothering my hypercritical eye for ages. I'm hopelessly detail-oriented, the trees obscure the forest, I can't help it. :(

I might be able to help reconcile Jeff's files with the official ones. But, yeah, let's all work together to make these scenarios official.

(What about the Kentucky '62 scenario?)

The questions of emphasis and scope have been discussed here in the fora endlessly for the past several years. Alas, the users have clearly spoken more in favor of an EIA-like game.

I share your preferences. But Vox populi, vox dei. :(

I agree with you, veji1. But most of the players, the vocal ones at least, seem to prefer a Grand Campaign NCP, on a larger Europe-wide scale with diplomacy and "production". Like Empire in Arms. Or, if you prefer, courtesy of Google Translate, English -> French :bonk: Je conviens avec vous, veji1. ...

Thanks for the compliment. Great if, as is, it's included in the next patch(es). But please note: My WIA Weathers mod is not at v1.0 yet. I still need to merge some of the ideas and improvements from my ROP Weathers mod, which is nearly at v1.0.

Indeed, we are (we think!) nearing the end of the 1.01*PB series, and hope to release the next "official" 1.02 patch ASAP.

And, yes, most likely there will be (many) more beta and official patches (long) after that.
