Some ideas for a GC 1807-1813 scenario

Foreword: I hope to be wrong, but it seems to me that in these forums the attention to NCP has been progressively decreased. Ageod staff should think upon it, because, even if other games have been better built (I mean, above all, AACW :coeurs :) , napoleonic era fans are far much more and, above al...

May be you would be willing to update the setup files  ;) :coeurs: I'd be glad (and proud :) ) of being able to do it, but i've not yet found in this forum the rules of managing those files. You please show me the link to them, Phil. Alombert-Colin: there are other two volumes on-line: ht...

1805 August Campaign: OOB unaccuracy

Being anyway one of the (few) intriguing scenarios in the game (I mean those in which some grand-strategic elements are present), I found in it some annoying not-historical details; among them, the most relevant are: 1) a total lack of those "2nd line" forces which actually kept their positions arou...

What NCP DO lack to reach ACW operational taste is Multi-front engagement. I prefer and mostly play Peninsula scenario too, for its lenght and complexity, but it would have been great (as like ACW) only if the very sense of "ULCER" had been its actual historical one, i.e. subtracting of forces and r...

1) More detailed OOB - at the moment F1 is too clumsy to be of any use. [...] 2) A tally of your total number of troops in F5. [...] All in all its a great game which is sorely lacking in a grand campaign. [...] Kev I agree with Kev, especially with his preface and with point (1): such current sort...

West Point Series Atlas gives, on november 25, some 30.000 men under gen. Brune along Channel coast (la Manche) and some 15.000 men under Louis (Bonaparte) in Holland. In Napo Correspondance, from september to november, many orders are given to various troops (mostly "green", kilitia or foreign unit...

Please make the AI aware of the scenario goals. Currently it's too much focused on raiding rear areas and taking cities which are not objectives or just plainly moving in the opposite direction than the other side. In 1815 campaign ... etc The same happened in 1812 campaign ... etc. Maybe too much ...

halved battle losses?

i found that in every battle, losses reported at the bottom of battle window are usually halved, compared either to involved units at turn end, either to loss summary in Objective panel (F5). What's the wrong number? (my suggestion is to think upon it, because the same loss rate of AACW - 100men per...

Spain Scenario, Napo intervention

Everyone who tried Peninsula Scenario would have seen that Napo's blitzkrieg army after Erfurt treaty appears earlier, on 2nd turn (may 8).
Please, fix the bug

We are working on extended campaigns (including your 1806-1807 suggestion), and new scenarios as well. They shall show up in some weeks...stay tuned :niark: No pre-1805 campaign for the moment, we want to research them a bit more and keep them for the second version of NCP, later in 2009. The Grand...

I applaud the lack of a Grand Campaign if the diplomacy model produces the results I have experienced in board wargames and PC games when everyone tries to ally with France as quickly as possible and nations backstab each other at a moment's notice. That is not historical. Any good game - and I inc...

of course!

A monster indeed...that's why we could not decently handle it now...we need this game first to please its public, because the gamers will return to us with loads of ideas, suggestions and data for NCP2 :coeurs: That's what happened already with ACW, the game is what it is because of our fans input ...

no doubt

that one (those oneS...) in which the WIF ("What If" Factor = Why We are Here... :bonk: ) is more sizzling for every grognard like us. :sourcil: I mean: those in which something went bad, in which strategic - and not tactical or "random" - factors played a decisive role into our Emperor's defeat. e....
