Yep, the mixed brigades is really the main thing that turned me off about CW2. And I agree on 5-day turns. I just said 7-day because it's a clean week, but yes, 5-days would make more sense from a pure realism standpoint. Again on the subject of mixed brigades; were they not a thing in the original...

My preference for brigade building stems primarily from the fact that I really dislike the mixed brigades so prominent in CW2. Still very interested in what y'all think about this, too. I rarely post, and I'll admit that I'm a guy who prefers the original AACW with the Clovis mod. It's not a huge deal. I found where to make changes to the Army HQ, but it only changes the cost in the replacement tab. For some reason it doesn't change in the recruitment tab. And yeah, I'm beginning to think the divisional cost is hard-coded, as I haven't been able to find it anywhere. Oh well, ...

Changing the cost of forming divisions, AACW.

Old game I know, but does anyone remember which files to change if I want to mod the cost of forming a division?

And likewise, buying an army HQ. I changed the cost values in the models folder, delete the cache, but when I load up the game the cost is unchanged.

Yeah, I'd say that's accurate. It's gotten better I think with the new patch, but still not where it needs to be IMO.

I love the concept. I enjoy recruiting armies. I enjoy the fact that you don't have access to the best weapons early. I've been playing the old Struggle for a Vast Future 2.0 mod recently for the original AACW. I managed to get my hands on it before it disappeared off the internet, haha. That mod is still my personal favorite Civil War gaming experience. At any rate, I've been trying to mod a few things in the game...

I recently got back into it, with the 1.16a patch and the old Struggle For a Vast Future mod by Clovis. The AI plays much, much better with his mod, the early war especially is more accurate, and the brigade sizes and composition are more accurate. It was always my favorite, and now I remember why.

Develop Territory. WAD?

The game says developing territory increases loyalty in a region by 10%. I've used the card a couple of dozen times as Prussia, but it has not once increased loyalty. Is that a bug? Or am I missing something?
