Yes, Caesar in Gaul would be great! Rome in Britain would also be wonderful. I would greatly like to see both of these.

Crash when checking elements in build screen

Hi,

I was in the unit construction screen, and clicked on a truck unit. When I clicked on the element, to see the details, the game crashed.

I attached the files requested by the error message. Hope it helps.

Just saw this and immediately applied. The Thirty Years War is one of my favorite periods. I've been playing a lot of Slitherine's Pike & Shot, and I'm looking forward to gaming the war at a different [strategic/operational] level.

I tried to respond to this last week, but the post never appeared.

I've been wanting this to happen since I first played AGEOD's original Civil War game. I can't wait to get my hands on a copy!

Great news! I've been wishing for this ever since I played my first AGEOD game--the original Civil War game, back when it was new!

Unless I die before it's released, you can count on a sale to me.

Just a guess: is it a save from a game in which the Socii faction won? A save you wanted to keep for some reason?

Bohémond, I usually have a browser window open, as well as my email program. However, neither of those should use much memory sitting idle. I do not have the replay feature on. I have the game set to allow it maximum access to my memory, which would seem to give it plenty of resources to run properl...

In case anyone looks at this, I want to let you know that the problem seems to occur only in the large scenarios. I end up having to exit the game and restart frequently to avoid the crashes. In smaller games--the Parthian Wars, for example--I don't seem to encounter this problem. I haven't been abl...

OK, Pocus. I did post the Log folder for the freeze I experienced in the Cantabrian Wars scenario, and I'll try to remember to do so for future problems.

Once again, completely exiting the game, then restarting, allowed me to continue the scenario. It would, however, be nice if this weren't so frequently necessary.

Someone on the Matrix forum suggested reloading a backup save and going from there. He also suggested exiting the game after every six or so turns, as that has cut down the crashes he experiences. He thought it might be some sort of memory leak. I've been following his advice, and I haven't had any ...

I was able to load from a "Backup" folder and resume the game, so the crash didn't stop me from continuing the game. However, I thought you would want to know about it. Yes, the two new consuls appeared on schedule, but they appeared in Rome, rather than with the armies in the field. Don't know why ...

Gray Lensman, Thanks. I actually had the game installed on another internal drive, but still in a "Program Files x86" subdirectory. I experienced a crash also, one which seems to be the same as arsan's. I had started a new 1806 scenario and when I clicked to advance the turn, I quickly received an error message. As with arsan, a battle occurred after the error message, and, when I closed the battle window, the game shut down. I'...

I agree with Chris38. I wouldn't mind things like an earlier start for the campaigns to allow the player to reorganize his forces to his liking, but as an addition to the historical campaigns already included, not as a replacement. You are quite right that the Grand Campaign requires a functioning d...

I've been playing the demo, and I'm hugely impressed. I loved the appearance of AACW--the map makes me think of period maps I've seen--but Napoleon's Campaigns is gorgeous. I'd like to have the game on CD, along with a paper manual, but it seems that the pre-order option is strictly for direct download. Is this true? If so, will it be possible to order the game on CD?
