The issue of obscuring occurs for me only on smaller screens. I experience it on my laptop, but not my desktop. For my part, I would love to have the ctrl button functionality back, like it was before CWII. It really threw me for a loop when I first started playing that game and couldn't use Ctrl an...

I hadn't really noticed that yet, I was speaking more to the map scrolling getting bogged down in areas with numerous units. To be sure, this happened for me on the official patch, but things have slowed down even more now that I've updated to the beta. Probably just my hardware though, I guess.

Gotcha. I had a hunch that was the case. In any event, I updated to 1.02 beta to try my luck. Seems to be going ok. Was getting really disappointing to get a few hours into the campaign, have some grand designs in the offing, and then have the game crash. Got a little hole in my heart each time it h...

I know this will be a dumb question, but what do those little banners represent? The little colored strip at the top of the counters. In my games I haven't been able to figure it out, but I'm sure it's something obvious.

Element Question

Question regarding elements. Always wondered about this but just figured I'd clarify. For infantry elements; when you see for example, "88e Ligne/1" and "88 Ligne/2", does that indicate that the element is a battalion? Like what we Americans might translate today as 1st Bn/2nd Bn, 88th Infantry (Lin...

Clock

Is there some way to convert it from a 24hr clock to a 12? Having recently been learning to use military time, I've got no problem with it how it is (because yay, the clock is back!!), and obviously this is an incredibly insignificant thing, but I remain curious just the same. I hope I haven't bothe...

Minor tangent: Could the division naming system used here be applied to CWII? Most of what I recall reading for the Civil War shows that division numbers were treated like they are here in WoN (1st division 1st corps, 1st division 2nd corps, etc) instead of consecutive numbering...But maybe I'm wron...

Greetings! I'm attempting to run CWII on my new 13" laptop, which has a 1980x1080 resolution. The game mostly seems to run correctly....however, when the battle summary screen comes up, it is huge and the top and bottom portions of it get cut off by the screen. When I go into the compatability setti...

So corps here do not behave in a similar fashion to ACW and CW2 then? As in, corps from the Civil War/RoP/RUS games can be several provinces away but still a part of their parent formation, whereas here they're only actually attached to the army they're physically stacked with?

Mouse Cursor

This is something I've struggled with in all of the ageod games, tbh. In the configuration settings, there's an option to change the mouse cursor from the software, which I think is the fancy one, to the hardware, which I would guess is the standard Windows mouse cursor. Changing that option never s...

From the little bit of reading I've done about the war, it seems to me that having a unified command and decision making structure between the East and the West (i.e. you, the player) would be an enormous advantage. My understanding is that one of the biggest hurdles was getting things between the t...
