How do you run BoA2 in window mode? I expect this is answered somewhere, but I cannot find it.

Pbem game

I am looking for an opponent. I have WIA, AACW. ROP, WW1. I don't mind playing any side in any scenario, though would prefer a proper campaign.

Loading Problems

I now have another problem. Though it is no longer saying that the serial key is wrong I now have an Microsoft Cisual C++ Debug library message - Debug Assertion Failed. No idea what this means but it stops the game from running. I have turned off UAC, run as administrator. I am using Vista and the ...

Serial Key Problems

I updated the game with the Gold patch but now it will not recognise the serial key. I have imputted the new key into the configure game page but to no avail. I then tried to imput it manually into the Ww1.ini and Serial.ini files but it would not let me save the amended file - wrong path or somethi...

From the official site. It sometimes starts to download and will get to about 6mb and then fails. I believe the patch is about 120mb.

Failure to Download new patch

When I try to download new patch I get a message saying "source file could not be read". Has anyone else seen this and is there a solution to it?

Moving Detachments

I have trawled through the manual and forum posts to no avail: I cannot get Army detachments to move. A box pops up listing all the Corps and asking whether I wish to make it an independent force. If I say yes or click on an Army the same thing happens again. This happens when I try to move the Germ...

The pointer keepd jumping around and it is very difficult to click on anything as the pointer will not stay still. I have noticed that this problem occurs with my Vista laptop but not the XP one, though the former is more powerful with a larger amount of RAM. I deduce from this that is it a Vista pr...

Mouse controls

it seems no-one has had this problem then, as there have been several viewers but no comments. Thought I might provide further info: vista laptop with 4 gb RAM; running latest patched version; music and sounds turned off; map loaded at start I can't change the security level though because it is gre...

Mouse Controls are very imprecise and jerky

The mouse controls make the game very difficult to play. I have turned everything off in configurator and loadeed map up at start. It is slightly better but not very playable. Any suggestions?

Unable to Install on Vista Laptop

I have seen this problem mentioned before but not a solution. I have been trying on and off for two months to install the game vis dvd on my vista laptop. Absolutely no success. Nothing ever happens. There must be a solution to this. Is it possible to download the games directly (without having to p...

Replacements

I undestand that replacements are made fairly randomly. However I have had units holed up in Jefferson in MO for a few turns (having taken heavy losses previously) but they are not being refilled despite buying several replacements each turn. How do replacements work and can you control to any degre...

Funny thing then is that I am still in October 1861 - a little early for Cooper to retire. I have only had him for one turn!

Disappearing General

I was using Samuel Cooper the Confederate general, to train up some conscripts in Richmond. He did so effectively and then promptly disappeared from the game, though the tab in which the units were located continued to be called "Samuel Cooper's Command". My reading of Civil War history makes no men...
