Kentucky

Is there a special, neutral, status for Kentucky at the start of the GC (like in AACW) or is
it treated as any other state? Same for Missouri.......

Playing WE on Lt. difficulty, the CP doesn't press the attack.....they dilly dally through Belgium and reach the French border, generally, as the weather worsens. Not even close to a "Schlieffen Plan".

My escape key doesn't work.......

Yeah, older laptop. Does anyone know if it's possible to re-map the keys so that I can use another key to replace the frequently used "escape" key?

edit: should have searched first......F9=alternate escape key

I've been waiting for this for a very long time and am very excited about this project. I was hoping PON would be more viable for WWI but I love the Civil War 2 system and really, seriously, can't wait for this. A dream come true.....well, except for my sweetie of course :)

Why can't I get this game to run? Alea Jacta Est runs fine but a detailed examination of the installation procedure for the WWI mod (I am doing it right), leads to a CTD for me after changing the ini path to ww1. Any help? Also, where is the "new thread" that was supposed to have been opened for thi...

I did try CTGW as well as Battlefront's "Strategic Command WWI (Breakthrough)". Battlefront's game is ok, but I will ALWAYS come back to "World War One Gold" as it's simply the best WWI strategic game on PC. I appreciate all of the great modders who've added to the joy of this game. While I don't vi...

something clicked (literally) and, voila, it works! Many thanks for taking the time.

First of all, my thanks to all who have all taken the time to respond. I very much appreciate it. Wallysworld, my configurator settings match yours. I have downloaded the Logitech setpoint software (of course I have a Logitech mouse as well) and verified the settings there. The game now hangs at the...

Alright, I've now tried about everything I can think of to get a mouse response for this game. NOTHING seems to work. I've gotten it to the point where the mouse cursor actually moves on screen but it is so jerky and unresponsive as to be completely unusable. I really hate to give up on this one, es...

To fix this for now, if there is the option, maybe set the mouse cursor to Hardware or the reverse. I'm not sure I know how to do that......is it an in game setting? The weird thing is that all I did was install a new drive (2 TB) and re-installed the game there (F:\) I've played the game on this m...

No mouse?

Hello, I've enjoyed this game for many many hours in the past. However, having just gotten a new computer with Windows 7 (64 bit) I seem to be having a problem. The mouse (cursor) is alive and well while the game is loading but as soon as the game starts (hit the pause key) I have no mouse/cursor at...

army by army mode.....i don't GET it

Ok, maybe I'm just too stupid to play this way. Army by army mode, as I said. I've activated and moved ALL the German, Austrian and Turkish armies (and navies).....yet it won't let me move my detachments......it won't even let me end my turn. It says SOMEBODY out there has SOMETHING to do yet....but...
