Hi guys, I'm the developer, this long delay is all my fault. I've been slow, but I think it's worth it, you'll have a site of quality. I'm making progress at the moment and I'm close to fulfulling the automation of a whole turn (though I'll need Pocus help for the game engine side of the processing)...

Will it be possible to play a game with more than 2 players? - say an Eastern and Western command for each side? Not an essential feature but just curious. Hi Flashman, the answer is Yes. You'll be able to play 2 vs 2 games because multiple players can be assigned the same slot (or camp/side). When...

I thought a bit about how to remake GI on the AGE (turn-based) engine, or actually any turn based game with large periods of time. The main problem is time. Great Invasions scenarii span over hundreds and hundreds years. On another hand, we don't really want a turn to be too long. 1 month could be o...

And you'll hopefully get plenty of info about your games on the web site, and be able to post comments in the game thread (good for roleplay as well) :cwboy:

We'd also like to provide tools to help you upload and download game files, and handle those files for you...

You'll also have PbWeb which we intend to be easier and more comfortable than PBEM for slow paced games. Have a look here : http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.php?t=1769 Regarding to the "turn unfolding" feature, you just need to keep pressure on Pocus, and ask him again, and again... :niark: oup...

Progess Report - Play by Web Portal

As development continues, Ageod is pleased to inform the community that we are confident to be able to offer a fully featured play by web portal for Ageod's games, starting off with BoA and AACW within the coming months, most likely next Spring. The web site will provide a free hosting service and w...

well, actually, it won't change any internals regarding to PBEM, but will provide some multiplayer service that will be much more convenient than pure PBEM.

If I had the time and means, it would be great to adapt GI on the BoA engine !! Je me demande comment ça serait possible. Outre les millions de règles qu'il faut implémenter et les évolutions qu'il faudrait apporter au moteur AGE, je me demande quelle durée représenterait un tour ? Je pense ...

It looks like all file transmissions are done via email (upload and download). You can manually send an email to the central server (with a specific adress) but most of the time you don't need to, I'm going to try that out... (looks like a fun game btw !) The goal of the PBEM services is to provide ...

It should be noted that PBEM is very minimally supported by BoA. There are no passwords, no file encryption. And a very limited "replay". Not only is it easy to cheat, it is hard not to accidentally cheat. Some of these problems are solved if you can find a third non-player willing to "host" your g...

I too like Dominions a lot. I discovered play by mail with the Dominions series. I'm not very experienced and I consider myself still as a beginner. I'm loooonging for Dominions III, a slightly better interface, slightly better graphics, more spells, more units and nations, and a random map generato...
