Re: Where is 1.03 Update?

The last beta patch is still online ftp.ageod.com/pub/WON/WONSetup_publicbeta103_October26th.exe Nikel, Thanks but I won't touch beta patches any longer. AGEOD did a poor job with prior ones and I'm not wasting my time with unofficial patches that create a second version of the program and don't pl...

Where is 1.03 Update?

A couple of weeks ago I saw an unofficial 1.03 update from AGEOD posted on this forum and now it's gone. The message suggested that it went to Matrix but Matrix hasn't released an official 1.03 update yet. Since I discovered too many problems with unofficial AGEOD WoN updates I didn't waste my time ...

Re: Hiding Units

In all this time since Napoleon's Campaigns AGEOD couldn't be bothered to put in a Hide Units key? Having a Hide Units key, like so many other games have, would be so user friendly useful since it would help players avoid accidental mergers of forces, or a mistaken move to an adjacent region if the...

Re: Britain / Portugal / Spain - War and Peace

HHFD50,
I was using the 1.2 version of the game. I haven't checked to see if 1.3 solves this as I've just given up hope of ever playing this poorly done game ever again. The 1.3 update looks absolutely disappointing in that it looks to have fixed very little from reading the description.

British Smuggle Goods RGD Bug

The British Smuggle Goods RGD has a bug in it that allows a British player to smuggle goods into any port, not just French ports or ports of French allies. According to the Smuggle Goods description the only ports that should be eligible for smuggling are ports that are under French control, or unde...

Casus Belli Bug Saved Game File

Pocus, Here's a saved game file showing the Wurtemburg Casus Belli problem. I also noticed that under the politics section I see that my request to Wurtemburg from France for supply rights was turned around to Wurtemburg being given supply rights by France. I know for certain I requested them, I was...

January 1805 French Campaign versus Prussia and Austria

This is the first of 7 episodes showing how I planned out my French side in the January 1805 campaign. I beat both Prussia and Austrian Athena Ignorances by mid October 1805. I show plenty of really poor AI scripting events, plus I tell why they're dumb and what would be smarter scripting. Watch all...

ngomaichi, WoN may be challenging to someone with little game playing or military experience, but it isn't to a grognard player. Sorry but I've seen little progress made to improve the Athena Ignorance since Napoleon's Campaigns. I'm not a game hater, I just hate games that are poorly thought out or...

I checked and the depot is built the next turn, it is underneath the counters so you probably have missed it. Also that's normal the Prussian wagons don't disappear, in WON building a depot only cost conscripts, but you need wagons to initiate the building. Pocus, I did mention the depot was built,...

MarshalJean In the January 1805 campaign scenario this force Mack to stay stationary is ridiculous because so much can change from the historical August opening. It just isn't appropriate to freeze Mack and the Bavarian Army corps as it places an unfair hinderance on an Austrian human player. I gues...

Freeze Mack Event Unacceptable!

I'm testing out the January 1805 Campaign scenario as all 7 major nations and found that the same annoying event that forces humans to undergo the same historically dumb decision of Austrian General Mack freezing at Ulm for the shorter September 1805 scenario and Campaign starts is functioning in th...

csiemers, A definite problem for all peace treaties between major nations. It's sad that even the Treaty of Pressburg doesn't include peace for Bavaria or Kingdom of Italy which gain regions from Austria. Very shortsighted making that event. However it's like a cheat for the Austrian AI as it gets t...

Yes, a great idea and a major diplomacy element missing is Cede Region. It might cost some NM and/or VP's but it would gain popularity with the nation given the region. Plus there should be no casus belli making the deal bad.

The Spanish Ulcer event is a total deal breaker for me. Some of your ideas like annexation of minors are interesting but this breaks our ability to play the what-if situation of Napoleon not replacing the Spanish royal family. A shame some of the better ideas don't make it into the game. One thing m...

Replacement Allocation Bug

I was really disappointed to find that the Game Option to allow the Athena Ignorance to build replacements for us is totally bugged. 1.02 Depot Construction Bug

I've been playing with the new official 1.02 version and tried to build a supply depot in Donauswoerth as the French.
