Re: Hobbes v Athena: In Blood and Fire

It seems a great shame that every time the forums are changed things get messed up with old posts. The first change led to duplicate images and the next - only the duplicates remain! :crying:

All things come to an end I suppose.

Nice one, pretty much like my Steam titles (+all other AGEOD non-Steam titles). So many good games, yet so little time. I often tell myself that I will have to play them all once I am a bit old(er) and retired :mdr: You have great taste my friend :) P.S. you will have another...

P.S. the opposite to this sort of pricing is War in the Pacific - Admiral's Edition. £64. To me it's a wonderful but unplayable game due to the time required. I would be long dead before I completed a game but I would be very happy to pay £10 for it just to possess it and maybe play a small scenario.

My desktop at the moment. I've bought most of these games in the past few months during -75% offers or better. Most I will probably never play (and wouldn't have bought at full price). I don't have enough years left to play them all. All look pretty good though. If you get a game for £2 - £5 I think...

I was amazed by this deal. I'm on a break from AGEOD games at the moment having played them for 10 years but I couldn't resist this offer as a way of trying a few that I otherwise wouldn't have bought. I'm worried about how AGEOD and partners will benefit from this though. First game I looked at is ...

Wow. It's very heartening to see you have played it 30 times Shadow! I designed the scenario but it is very rare to get any feedback. I assumed not many people would have played it. I had no idea somebody would have played it so much!

Thanks,
Chris

I played the Strategic Command pacific game a few months ago and quite enjoyed it. There are flaws but it's not bad for at least one full game as each side. I played Uncommon Valor years ago PBEM - pretty good but takes a lot of time + opponents sometimes seem to fade away once they lose a few carri...

P.S. One slightly bizarre app I would recommend is Flightradar24. Strangely relaxing sitting in the garden with the cricket on and a beer in hand being able to identify the planes overhead on my tablet. You know where they came from, where they are going to - what type of plane it is. It almost feel...

I think the free version of Neuroshima is good. Depends how much you play it - there are some very interesting factions to be bought in the full game. I bought all as they are only about 60p each. Armies such as Neojungle and Dancer certainly add a lot of interest to the game.

No better for me - still very slow (18 seconds from clicking on a thread to being able to read it). No problem with any other site.

I will definitely get PoE eventually. Got fed up trying to remember how to install BG with all the mods from PC to PC. So many games to play. I'm still trying to learn Crusader Kings 2 (may take me a few years). I want to try a few other AGEOD games as well. Sovereignty: Crown of Kings along with a ...

One of the military options, "Issue a Scalp Bounty", says "Offer rewards for prisoners and ships". What exactly does this mean in terms of the game? I certainly don't remember any text for this event that mentions ships? I think the event makes it more likely that certain locked tribes with a leanin...

I just bought Crusader Kings II and Civ 5. Now there is another game I want and won't find the time to play. Thanks Philippe. First I need to give one last stab at getting the Barbarians to attack in AJE :)

Wishing a good Christmas to all.

Thanks for the warning - maybe too late as I demanded 50 goods a year from them last night  Another P.S. I almost didn't buy the game because of the ducks (and other creatures - suspension of disbelief was too demanding). But then I saw them on stands and it was somehow OK (+ they didn't evol...

I'm just getting my head around the Ducks - but somehow they work in this strange world :) £6 can seem a lot for a tablet game - but if this is the sort of game one likes it will give hours of enjoyment. I've never found a tablet game that works as well as this one so I thought I would give it a bit...

For reasons I don't know the Scots suffered far more than other nations in the UK. If every Scottish person that died in WW1 was to walk past my house, one every 10 seconds, it would take them 18 days to walk past (and that is just the ones that died not the injured). A different way of understandin...

King of Dragon Pass

Just got this unique game for Android. I think it worth a mention as there is nothing else like it and it works so well on a tablet - somewhat surprising as it was originally released in 1999. I always have problems with tablet wargames or RPGs as the interface rarely seems to work well. This one do...
