Yes Franciscus, I'm trying to be patient and not to get upset with the curt responses as I know calvinus is under a lot of pressure but yours is the type of answer I'm looking for. :)

And for +3 time, any comment on the siege issue.

I do not remember if there are constraints concerning major rivers and/or enemy territory for Interceptions. I will have a look at rules and do the proper corrections. ;) Every time you finish a game/scenario, I suggest you quit the game and launch again the application. Thanks though in my poorly ...

Interception Exploit?

First, I've had the game for awhile but have been waiting for stability to increase so I've barely gotten into this game. So forgive me if this is a silly question. I know this is much less concern after trench warfare starts (or so I think as I haven't actually gotten that far), but it seems you ca...

Does look interesting. In regards to CP "winning" well I would personally consider performing better than the historical result a "win". Which in that case means there are quite a number of ways that could happen. It's by no means one-sided.

Ok, 1.01c works much better. The replacement thing is real annoying but I guess I understand why you did it. Still get a good feel for the game but if someone doesn't actually read the forums, they will probably think it's bugged. Might want to attach a little readme to the demo stating what's in an...

I was afraid of that. Is it possible to patch the demo or do I have to download the entire half-gig again? Also, the notice at the top says it's 1.01c but you refer to 1.01d. Is the link the same? Also, all my equipment is a bit old but to the best of my knowledge meets your system requirements. I d...

Rather disappointed at the lack of a full campaign. Feels like quite the step back. Surely at least some basic diplomacy is exactly what we'd expect to see in a new game, rather than just some new stats, a new map and new scenarios? My initial impressions based on the demo so far have not been favo...

I am too used to the 2-d image since I own all the other Ageod games. But as others say I do like the idea of choice. I might use 3-D if you could make the leader portraits 3-D! :)

Unfortunately the demo is very buggy for me. In the Trafalgar scenario, I couldn't select some of the commands from the map, had to go to the ledger to do it. I was just trying the Jena scenario and it crashed completely. The game also takes forever to load and the opening screen, the buttons are ha...

I also have BoA and the first thing I will say in general is that the game mechanics have been improved quite a bit. To answer your specific questions though: 1. Not really, I believe you could stack commanders in BoA to give you those monster stacks but in AACW there is a upper limit to command. So...

Indeed, it does appear that the AI and FOW application is working as designed, as the AI does fully exploit a hole in your defenses, and makes it straight for a target. Unfortunately, the AI works on a turn-by-turn basis, and does not assume that you will move your force to cut them off. Basically,...

Delegation bug?

I've noticed that for factions that start delegated, there is no way for me to undelegate them. I click the button in the palace for each category and it appears to toggle, but I can never control the troops. I don't know if this is specific to Raider nations as those are the ones usually started wi...

I was finally able to get back to this and notice for the most part the missing background has disappeared, so to speak. Agreed, Joram. I gave it a high complexity rating due to the sheer size of the beast. The interface, shortcuts and general design are exceedingly well thought out. No issues there. At the same time, I find the scenarios sterile and uninvolving because, imho, the the game's soul resides in the total...

No offense Childress, but I think it's not nearly as complex as you make it out to be. I think a 4 is about right. I think this game has as good a balance of management and abstraction as you'll find in any ACW game. If you think this one is complex don't even go anywhere near FoF, the other current...

Well, I have a 7800 GS which I see has some known issues though I'm not seeing our particular issue. The logo actually loads up fine. Then I disabled the logo anyway and it actually appears to work for the time being. Strange. Don't know if it's a coincidence but I'll report back if it acts up again.

No background for some menu's

Some of the menus (or pop-ups if you call them that) have no background and don't seem to have it's options clickable. For instance, hitting escape to bring up the system menu does this. Therefore I have no way of exiting the game except control-alt-del. Sometimes an event pop-up does this too. I ha...

Are you talking about the initial garrisons on the map? If so, I think that's a good question and would like to know the answer to. I do seem to remember that anything you build that is destroyed just gets added back into your force pool but as for the initial garrisons, I don't know if that's facto...

LOL Montbrun. I didn't even know you could capture those. I had two slightly different events that happened last night that I'll share. I think that's an intriguing idea. As it stands now, I could care less if I captured enemy artillery. But that would at least give you some reward and allow you to utilize the captured guns without bypassing the force pool limits.

for now this is a code limitation, but there is also the big problem of force pool here, with the captured unit bypassing any force pool limitation. I guess I don't see the problem with that to be honest. It's not like it happens a lot. Or at least it shouldn't. :) Captured supplies offer some adva...

Captured Units

Not sure if this is the right area but here's my question. Why can't you put replacements into captured equipment? I've captured a ton of supply and a fair amount of artillery routing the Union's Army of Virginia (or Potomac, whatever they are calling it). Oddly, I even captured a coastal artillery ...

In my limited experience, the USA is going around blowing away all my coastal defense guns. I was particularly peeved too when they blew away two of my siege guns when I was besieging that one lone USA fort near Norfolk. Didn't even know they could do that!
