Ah you had the right idea. After the deaktivation of Gdata Antivir 2007 System Guard the combats are calculated like a rocket. Strange, the Virus scanner did not give me any trouble before. Thx a lot --> on the way enjoying the game :coeurs:

If you run AACW after quitting Napoleon, you have correct combats, or are they stalled too? First thing would be to update your video driver though. I updated my drivers today and the problem is still there. A turn resolution in napoleon needs about 10 min... . Es single battle with bigger armys 5 ...

Well i have problems with the combat resolution. Somehow it brings my cpu to stall. Even the small engagements in the tutorial takes about 1 min for every battle. In aacw i never had any problems. As a rule every corp with connection to the battlefield can march to the guns. I would atack the units on his flanks where you can mass 3 corps and he only two, or take out the single divisions he has. Only corps of the same army are highly effektiv in supporting each other.

A couple weeks ago i posted an issue with 1.06b which corrupted my install. My exe. and Control Panel listing of AACW vanished. I misplaced my burnt disc, it'll turn up, so i decided to purchase a new hardcopy directly from AGEOD. I know Pocus, even though he was on vacation, would have gladly help...

Yes you need to have one in every divison to get the bonus for all units. A general with the surpriser skill is also a good idea to further increase your chance of first fire.

The difficult level in this game was normal with a slight bonus in detection for the ai.


I tell the story of the combat tomorrow (1 am here) . I do not think that this result is a problem with the combat engine. It was a big strategical mistake by the ai witch resulted in desaster.

The city will resieve supplys if it is close enough to a depot. You can increase the supplys by building a new depot there.

Same here. In my last pbem game the union player invades kentucky and no event fired. After that I reconquert two of my former citys and I got the csa aggression event.
