Re: 1916 GC start

Most likely a "model" picture issue, because if you look at the unit inside the UI the graphics are 1916 OK. Needs a check

Re: 1916 GC start

Oh thank you. I did start it as Germany, it could be better than 14 start. If devs reads this: please consider adding ability to command Polish troops to Piłsudski (he is in Warszawa at the start) - commander of Polnishe Gruppe. He was one of the creators of Polish forces in Central Powers and afte...

Re: running very slowly

Rest assured we shall follow the issue closely. My 2cents about the issue is may in General.opt file, Log Batch section. I see that // how many log lines should be written at once. Can slow down significatively the app & hosting if below 10. LogBatch = 10 But in most other (faster) Ageod games, ...

Re: Quebec ownership?

OK, this confirms my suspicion. It seems some special instructions are missing in that scenario, the ones that give customs flags to regions (in that way you can see non-Prussian flags in the regions of Prussian allies...). Note taken for future fix, won't affect gameplay for you anyway, this is pur...

Re: Quebec ownership?

Did you see the French or British flag on Quebec, or another flag? I believe this is a text oversight/constraint, due to the fact that you play either the Austrian or Prussian alliance in that game, not individual nations, and that the shortened text of control tooltips for those alliances is respec...

Re: *General Player to Player Comments

Note : totally unrelated but important, the Suez Canal does not work properly. I checked the game events, looks like a major fix for Suez proper working is missing (at the moment, no one can use it). I have prepared an event fix for that, using one that seems to work with the 1880 modded campaign a...

Re: *General Player to Player Comments

100% in agreement. I have claimed for weeks to gather more players in the game, to no avail. And the IA can't cope with situations like these. I have been running all nations that are important in the game (including those by players who do not / cannot put their orders on time, e.g. Russia) on regu...

Re: Beauregard: Risen from the Dead to Lead the South

Agreed...a lot of those checks can and should be done, but we unfortunately sometimes do not envision all possibilities.
One solution I always use (e.g. in PBEM games) is to run a script that kills the duplicates or triplicates...

Re: *General Player to Player Comments

Orders were processed for January and they included everything I could find on dropbox. FRA.ord file was there (same for early January) and duly included. As far as I recall, missing orders where those of the - too numerous - absent Major Powers players. I also entered a " no order but no AI &q...

Those changes can be applied ingame but unfortunately it would be too late for you because most of the major changes would be triggered in the first year or so

Re: A 1866 Save Game, before all hell breaks lose!

The additions are only handled via the Tech files IIRC. Enclosed are the latest (land and naval), the concerned lines are shown with a yellow/red cell. The base of FP quantities are given by nations in the 1850 GC, and those values are then "increased" by the techs (and almost instantly as...

Re: A 1866 Save Game, before all hell breaks lose!

You got it right 100%...something happened in the last Tech tweaks which was against my design and has generated this over inflation of units. The tech files need to be excessively reduced with almost NO addition of new units, as the initial FP already cover the necessary amount. What happened now i...

That's a way...the other is to severely limit the force pool, which is way too generous now for both 'Central Powers'...

I believe this would make nice flavor events, as the North American theater is not in the game but the flavor/feeling would be great.

Would you be able to write a few descriptive texts for those events and provide the dates? :indien:

Re: "Crazy Surrending rules & Ageod backup for this game"

FYI, the WSS game is produced by an independent team and designer, as was the case of EAW or TYW. We are aware of issues on WON and other titles, but our small team has now been assigned to other full-time compelling tasks and we don't have the leisure to work on past titles right now. We however us...

When I played it (as Rome), I remember how hard it was historically and I proceeded step by step, first taking out the plains where the Romans are at their best. I tried to keep my Legions concentrated in the biggest (yet still correctly commanded) possible stacks. Augustus is good, but Aggripa is b...
